Problem Child #1 + Problem Child #2

Summary:

Shouta Aizawa is a good man, who never deserved to have to witness two of his students making out, but the universe doesn't care whether he deserves it or not, because he's getting it anyway.

OR

A short crack-treated-seriously one-shot showcasing Aizawa accidentally walking in on his students Bakugou and Midoriya making out. He now has to live with that image always haunting him.

Notes:

Hello!!! Welcome to my fic.. I wanted to write something short and funny as a warm up piece before I started working on one of my longer fics, but I actually ended up liking the finished product a lot, so, here it is. Enjoy!

(P.s: if you're one of my Dekiru readers, that fic is still on hiatus until the 21st.)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

It all started when a blonde buffoon walked— more like limped his way through the Height's Alliance dormitory front entrance.

Ashido in distance gasped.
"What happened?!?" She hurried over to him.

Students gathered around the hero. Shouta just rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his coffee from where he sat in an arm chair.

"Everything's alright," Toshinori laughed, assuring the students.
"I was walking down the street the other day and tripped on a curb. I have a sprained ankle, is all." He had a medical boot on his foot.
"I should be better in a week or two. But I have to take it easy."

Shouta had no idea why the students were always so dramatic over everything. Broken bones just heal. Sprained ankles heal even faster. Maybe it was the fact that it was All Might, of all people who was injured, that got them in a tizzy.

"Aizawa-san!" Toshinori called from across the room. The older man started limping towards Shouta's chair.

Shouta wore a blank expression on his face. Damn it. He didn't have the energy to deal with this

"All Might," Shouta greeted with a sigh.

"Aizawa! It's nice to see you—"

"Do you need something?"

All Might paused.
"Ah.. yes, I do actually. I was supposed to have a training session with Midoriya-shonen later this afternoon, but I have to cancel because of.. well, my current impairment," he chuckled.
"I was going to tell him over the phone, but he wasn't answering. Do you mind going upstairs and telling him that I want to speak to him?"

Shouta held back a groan. Was this really the best use of All Might's time? Sure, he's old, and retired, and he doesn't have a spouse, or any children, or any hobbies since his job was his only hobby his entire life, or any friends since his last two are either currently dead or in prison for attempted murder— Shouta lost his train of thought.

But the point still stands.

"Sure, I can do that," he reluctantly agreed. The man was injured— so even though it was pathetic, it was the least Shouta could do. All Might might be an annoying person and an even worse teacher, but he was a great hero.

He got up from his chair and started walking over to the staircase.
Once he got to the second level, he started walking down the hall until he got to the door that said "Midoriya Izuku".

He put his hand on the door knob and pushed the door open.

"Midoriya, All Might's—"

The first notable thing that happened was Shouta's eyes being assaulted by the image of Bakugou and Midoriya's tongues in eachother's mouths.

And the next notable thing that came next was screaming.

"Ah— Aizawa-sensei!?! I'm so sorr-"

"What the hell are you two doing!?!"

"We aren't doing shit, bozo! Get the hell out!"

Shouta promptly got a pillow thrown at his face. (Deserved.)

He slammed the door and started running down the hall. Holy shit. That was the worst thing he ever saw. Atleast they still had their clothes on.

Oh God. He wanted to throw up. Bakugou and Midoriya? Of all the students he could have walked in on together, it was Bakugou and Midoriya.

He wanted— needed to gouge his eyes out.

He hadn't even noticed when he gotten back down to the common room, until an abnormally boney hand was on his shoulder.
"Are you alright, Aizawa? Is Midoriya-shonen available anytime soon?"

"Oh God."

Toshinori just looked at him with a confused expression on his face.

"Oh man. I- I think, well, he's busy right now. With Bakugou. I mean he's studying with Bakugou. Homework. English. Tongues— I mean, english homework. Mic's class. You know."

"Are you alright? You're rambling."

Toshinori didn't exactly know Shouta well yet, but the way Shouta was acting was very unlike himself. Very obviously so.

Shouta just wheezed in response, falling backwards onto the floor.

He was pretty sure he blacked out after that.

He woke up a few hours later in Recovery Girl's office. She said some shit about him passing out from stress. Yeah, no fucking wonder.

Maybe he overreacted. Bakugou and Midoriya are teenagers, teenagers do gross shit like putting their tongues in eachother's mouths. But still. Oh God.

Shouta eventually escaped Recovery Girl's office. He didn't need to be here. It was fine— he'd get a good five hour sleep tonight and he'd be back to normal. Hopefully he wouldn't have nightmares.

-----

Problem child #1 and problem child #2 were acting suspiciously.. normal this morning.

They were just sitting at their desks and doing their work, as Shouta watched both them and the rest of his students. As usual.

They were almost acting like Shouta hadn't walked in on them making out yesterday. Which, yeah, Shouta didn't want to dwell on it either— the image would never leave his mind. It would haunt his dreams for the rest of eternity. Part of Shouta wonders how he himself even tolerates his own husband's tongue in his mouth. Is that what French kissing looks like from an outsiders perspective? Really? It looked like something out of a Junji Ito manga— but still, Shouta expected them to atleast act a little awkward.

But no. It was the same old Midoriya and Bakugou. Which lead Shouta to wonder how long they've been dating. Are they dating? Probably—? Do teenagers even understand the concept of a friends-with-benefits relationship yet? Probably not, so chances are, they're dating.

But dating? Midoriya and Bakugou? The two students that he's had the most trouble with together— hell, not even Kirishima and Monoma fought so much— and they're dating?

Shouta really shouldn't be thinking about his student's relationships so much. Oh God. He's turning into his husband. Those articles said it could happen— that people start to pick up traits from their significant other but oh no, oh God, out of all the traits, why this one? Why couldn't he have gotten Hizashi's tolerance to leather?

But oh fuck. He needed to talk to them.

He couldn't just leave the encounter like that. He opened the door— literally screamed at them, freaked out at them and then left.

What if that had been their first kiss? Fuck, he totally ruined the experience. That interaction could stay with them for the rest of their lives. They might never feel comfortable enough to do that ever again. Or atleast for a few more years.

And Shouta knew this for a fact— when he was eighteen, still living at home with his parents, he had Hizashi over—they had already been dating at the time, and things got a bit frisky in his bedroom, and his mother walked in on them and fucking flipped. Just like Shouta had. And he didn't let Hizashi kiss him for another two years after that.

It is a wonder that Hizashi hadn't broken up with Shouta because of that.

He cleared his throat.
"Bakugou, Midoriya," the teacher started.
"Stay after class."

Aizawa could see Midoriya visibly start freaking out, whereas Bakugou just scoffed and rolled his eyes. Though he had a sort of color to his face where Shouta could tell he was embarrassed. No fucking wonder.

-----

Shouta sighed.

Midoriya and Bakugou were sat in chairs infront of his desk. Class had ended three minutes ago. Which means that the pair had been sitting infront of Shouta for three minutes now. Nobody had spoken a word yet.

Shouta cleared his throat. Oh God. He felt like his teenage self right now. Why was this so awkward.

"I'm sure you two could imagine what I'm having you stay back to talk about."

Bakugou rolled his eyes and mumbled something that Shouta didn't bother to hear.

Midoriya stayed quiet. And honestly that might be for the best, seeing as his face was so red that Shouta was pretty sure that if he opened his mouth, he would detonate like a bomb.

"I wanted to apologize. The way I reacted was entirely inappropriate. Not only as a person in general— but as your teacher, too." Shouta paused.
"Nothing you two were doing was against the dormitory rules. And I'm sorry that I didn't bother to knock before entering your room, Midoriya. All Might had asked me to go upstairs and send you down to talk to him and I.. was too distracted in my own mind to remember to knock."

Midoriya stayed quiet.

"And as I mentioned earlier," he paused, leaning forward in his chair to open and dig through one of his desk drawers.
"Nothing you two were doing was against the rules, however," he placed two copies of the student handbook on his desk.
"I want you two to look at page sixteen of the student handbook— in the dormitory section, whenever you have the time, to make sure you don't break any rules in the future, alright?"

"We got it, old man. I've already read that shit."

"Well, I want you to reread it. So we don't have to have this discussion.. ever, ever again." Shouta rolled his eyes.
"Congrats on your.. relationship?"

He wanted to add something atleast a bit positive to the conversation. Usually he didn't care to do that kind of crap but this was a.. sort-of, touchy subject.

And just as Shouta suspected, Midoriya opened his mouth and detonated like a bomb. A word bomb.

"Ah-?!? What do you mean? I mean, relationship is a big word— that, I mean, Kacchan and I aren't even, that wasn't even a big thing, we were just trying it out, we were curious so- I mean, maybe it meant something but probably not, I mean probably not to Kacchan anyway, o- or me, maybe it meant something to me? But we're not in a relationship at all! We're just friends— well, friends is also a big word, we're acquaintances at best, well that's not right either, 'cuz we've known eachother for so many years, and we did kiss— but it was just one time Aizawa-sensei I swear! Kacchan's not my boyfriend and I'm not his boyfriend, I don't even know if I want to date someone! Well, I do, maybe— maybe, I don't know for sure, I haven't really even thought about it-"

"Midoriya," he interrupted.

"I swear it was just the one time! It was a freak accident! I mean, maybe we could do it again, but that's up to Kacc-"

Bakugou slapped his hand over Midoriya's mouth.

"Shut. The hell. Up."

Midoriya stayed frozen for a few moments, before mumbling a very muffled, "Thank you, Kacchan," into Bakugou's hand.

"Are you done?"

Midoriya nodded.

Bakugou scoffed and took his hand off Midoriya's mouth. He wiped his hand on the leg of his pants.

Shouta had a damn headache. This was too much. Why do teenagers have to be so complicated.

"Congrats on your.. not-relationship, then. Now get the fuck out of my office. I need to take an Advil.." he put his hand over his eyes and sighed.

The two boys scurried out of Shouta's office.
