Summary
This story follows Trinity Santos, a second-year resident in Pittsburgh who tries to juggle three lives at once without them colliding.
On one hand, her medical career in a demanding environment, where every decision matters and the pressure never lets up. On the other hand, her role as Tala's mother, a girl growing up on the outskirts of the hospital, whose existence Trinity carefully protects. And in the middle, her relationship with Whitaker, an R1 who goes from being a stranger to becoming her strongest support, almost like a brother, sharing a secret that could change everything.
This is joined by Yolanda García, an advanced training surgeon, with whom Trinity develops a complex relationship: professional within the hospital, but intimate and restrained outside of it.
The story revolves around the fragile balance between responsibility, identity, and hidden connections, showing how Trinity tries to maintain control as her world—personal and professional—becomes increasingly difficult to separate.
