Percy Jackson
The day was like any other day. I was at Annabeth’s house, we were in her room watching a movie together. “Why would he do that? It’s so dumb.” Annabeth muttered under her breath beside me. Which, fair. Even I’m not dumb enough to do that. I was chuckling to myself about the stupidity when—RINGG—It was coming from Annabeth’s phone.
She took it out her pocket and she made a one-sec motion at me. I paused the movie so she wouldn’t miss out on it. She walked out of the room to take the call.
After some time she came back in the room and let me know that she had to go help a friend having a “girl emergency”, whatever that meant.
Now I'm alone in her bedroom while she helps her friend. No problem, right? Wrong, my phone's dead. What should I even do now? I looked around her room. She had blueprints but I didn't wanna mess those up, and I didn't want to use her electronics without asking, I'd feel like a snoop. In the corner I saw a bookshelf, mostly boring books, but in a sea of architecture books I saw a fantasy book, something about some girl called Amari. I'd usually hate reading, the words kept swimming like that darned gingerbread man that teachers make kindergartenders pretend they're chasing. However, I was dying of boredom, so I thought I'd give it a try. I grabbed it off the shelf, it seemed interesting enough based off the summary. So, I opened it, and to my surprise, I found myself getting sucked into the story.
*1 hour later*
It's a little embarrassing how long it took me to read just 37 pages, but it was fun. Surprisingly. The sun's starting to go down, I honestly have no idea what time it is, but whatever, I just want Annie to come back already, I miss her. I feel my eyelids starting to droop. I try to fight it. Finish the gods-darned chapter Seaweed Brain. But it's no use, I fall into a deep sleep.
Annabeth Chase
That took longer than I expected, I hope Percy didn't leave. I walked into my room, expecting to see him scrolling on his phone or something, but instead, I see him on my bed, dead asleep, slumped against the headboard in a way that couldn't be comfortable, with my copy of Amari and The Night Brothers slipping out of his hand. Since when did Seaweed Brain read? I put a hand over my mouth to stifle the laughter clawing up my throat, I didn't want to wake him up. After I gained my composure, I gently took the book from his hand and placed it on my nightstand. I climbed on the bed and grabbed his shoulder to adjust his position so that he was laying next to me. He unconsciously pulled me closer and buried his head in the crook of my neck. I froze, we've never cuddled like this before. We only started dating back in August after the Titan War ended. I pulled him closer before I could think about too hard, my hand rubbing circles on his back. He melted into my touch. We cuddled like that for a while until I too, fell asleep.
