Summary
After surviving the mission no one was expected to survive, Maverick expects his life to settle back into familiar patterns per usual. Penny, Amelia, and Bradley all re‑enter his life and old bonds begin to heal, which he's relieved and glad for. However, Maverick soon finds himself forced to confront a future that no longer follows a straight line nor resembles anything close to what is considered normal anymore.
