Notes:

Hi there! I literally just came up with this random silly idea at work, so I decided to write it as soon as I got home so I could officially post it on May 4th! Luckily, I finished writing it right on time before the day was over!

Disclaimer: This story contains non-sexual disciplinary spanking. Don't like? Don't read. You have been warned. I do not support corporal punishment in real life as a punishment for children, this is merely a fictional story.

Without further ado, I hope you enjoy!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Work Text:

Obi Wan gave his sniffling Padawan a stern look as he walked over, his hands on his hips.

Anakin had a lathered bar of soap in his mouth, a sad look of disgust on his face.

With his arms crossed, Obi Wan proceeded to scold him with his eyes.

“Do I seem like I am ‘kidding’, Anakin?” He asked firmly. The boy had taken his antics way too far. When asked to stop the behavior, he simply cranked it up to a 10.

Anakin frantically shook his head, certainly regretting the decisions he made now as he sat on the counter with the icky bubbles pouring out of the sides of his mouth.

Earlier that day:

“May the fourth be with you!” The cheeky 8 year old exclaimed, once again to Obi Wan’s irritation.

Taking in a deep breath, Obi Wan forced himself to remain calm.

“Anakin, it was humorous the first time. Now, I believe I have already told you multiple times to put the joke to a rest, have I not?” Obi Wan asked, turning to look back at the boy.

Anakin had been quite silly that day, repeating the phrase he came up with over and over again.

It didn’t really have a meaning, the young padawan just thought it sounded funny saying ‘fourth’ instead of ‘force’.

It started out as harmless fun; Anakin had said it to Obi Wan at breakfast, earning him a chuckle and a lighthearted ‘Oh,you silly padawan’.

Anakin was proud of his goofy joke, so much to the point where he had said it yet again shortly afterwards.

The first couple of times, Obi Wan had simply ignored him. He was only a young padawan, of course.

Obi Wan appreciated the little moments that reminded him just how young Anakin really was.

In their line of work, childhood was a complicated topic, so Obi Wan always let Anakin know that he was welcome to be a kid as well.

Unfortunately, that came with a childish sense of humor, and the confusing urge every child had to run a joke into the ground. Even if it stopped being funny after the first time it was told.

Luckily, Anakin had a very patient and kind master who wanted to give him a chance to figure out when a joke had run its course.

When the joke kept on being told during training, and then during their next meal, Obi Wan had decided to put his foot down.

“Anakin, that’s enough. I appreciate a good sense of humor, but you need to focus. Your training is important, and this is not a circus, nor is it a comedy show.” Obi Wan reminded him calmly.

Anakin nodded as if he understood, giving him a respectful ‘Yes, Master’, and that was the end of it…

…well, that should have been the end of it, anyways.

While they were meditating, Anakin found himself very bored. This was not an uncommon situation, though.

Anakin didn’t see what was so important about meditation anyways, and he didn’t know why Obi Wan did it so much. The man seemed peaceful enough as it was, did he really need more silence?

“I know you are not meditating, Anakin.” Obi Wan said, making Anakin sigh exasperatedly from his spot next to him.

“Master, this is so boring! We’ve been doing this for hours!” He exclaimed, ever the dramatic one.

“It’s been 10 minutes.” Obi Wan corrected.“Besides, we could both use some peace and quiet.” He said.

Anakin didn’t like that answer, though. The restless padawan stood to his feet, his expression determined.

“Obi Wan, can we please just take a break? I don’t wanna do this anymore, I want to do more of the fun kind of training!” Anakin complained.

Obi Wan sighed, massaging his temples. ‘Here we go again.’ He thought.

“Anakin, training isn’t always going to be ‘fun’. There are many moments that require intense concentration and a calm, clear mind. You need to learn how to develop patience, padawan.” Obi Wan explained.

“Now, sit down and try meditating some more.” He said, nodding towards the spot next to him.

Normally, Anakin would have obeyed, wanting to please his master. Right now, though, he felt a surge of defiance running through him.

Placing his hands firmly on his hips, he glared daggers at the back of Obi Wan’s head. “No!” He exclaimed.

Obi Wan slowly turned to look at the boy, an inquisitive eyebrow raised.

“Excuse me?” He asked. Anakin gulped, looking like he had seen a ghost as he went pale. He was quickly beginning to regret being so bold.

“What did you just say to me, young man?” Obi Wan asked, standing to his feet. Anakin knew better than to tell his master ‘no’, as the number one rule was to obey and respect his master’s orders.

His courageous tongue seemed to have had a mind of its own at that moment, however.

“I said no! I’m not meditating anymore!” The blonde boy exclaimed with a stomp.

Obi Wan narrowed his eyes at the naughty little brat, feeling his patience begin to run out.

“Anakin Skywalker, I am not going to put up with the disrespect. If you are going to continue-“ The man was cut off by a mocking padawan.

“May the fourth be with you!” Anakin shouted over the man.

Obi Wan took in a deep breath, slowly exhaling through his nose. The boy was on seriously thin ice.

“You will not-“

“-May the fourth be with you!” Anakin cut him off loudly yet again, an evil on his face.

“Anakin, if you say it one more time, I’m going to wash your mouth out with a bar of soap!” Obi Wan stated.

Anakin’s eyes widened, his jaw dropping.

That was the last thing he wanted to happen, so he cautiously looked up at his master to read his facial expression.

As far as he could tell, Obi Wan was not a man who didn’t go through with his threats. Whenever he said he had a punishment coming, he always delivered.

So, naturally, Anakin had no reason to believe that the man was joking this time either.

However, something inside of the boy just had to have the last word. So, throwing caution to the wind…

“May the motherkriffing fourth be with you, Master!” Anakin stated matter of factly.

And that was the day Anakin learned just how far his master could be pushed before raising hell.

The next moments were a blur, but an effective one.

The boy was grabbed by the scruff of his robe, led into the bathroom, scooped up underneath his armpits, sat right up on the bathroom counter, and was then forced to watch Obi Wan lather a brand new bar of soap in front of him; the same soap that was then pushed right into the mouth he tried to keep closed.

“W-Wait, wait! I was just kidding-MMMFPH!” Anakin gagged, squeezing his eyes shut as the disgusting taste flooded his senses.

Thinking back, he should have definitely quit while he was ahead, but he just couldn’t help himself.

If this was the price to pay for unnecessary, sassy puns, it definitely wasn’t worth it!

So, after scrubbing the bar all around the boy’s mouth, Obi Wan let him sit there and think about his disrespectful actions.

“You’ve earned yourself a firm reminder with my palm after this as well, Anakin.” Obi Wan determined, shaking his head at the boy’s wide, pleading eyes.

“No, do not give me that look. I warned you, did I not?” Obi Wan gave him a pointed look.

“I gave you multiple chances to stop and think about how you were behaving, and yet you still decided to make the wrong choice. You clearly wanted a reaction out of me, so this is the reaction you will get.” Obi Wan lectured.

As Anakin sat there feeling miserable for himself, tears began to roll down his cheeks. Not only because it tasted terrible, but because he was now, realizing just how hurtful he had been towards his master.

Obi Wan didn’t deserve the disrespect he had given him, boredom or not, making the boy feel guilty.

After he felt the boy had learned his lesson, Obi Wan removed the bar of soap out of his mouth.

“Rinse.” He said, nodding towards the sink. Anakin quickly spat out the suds, rinsing his mouth many times with water.

No matter how much he seemed to rinse, however, some of the soapy residue seemed to remain, serving as a bitter reminder.

Taking the boy by the hand, Obi Wan swiftly led him to his bedroom. Anakin nervously followed after his master, knowing exactly what was about to happen and loathing it.

Unfortunately, he knew there was nothing he could do to stop his master from delivering a firm spanking.

So, he simply whined as Obi Wan sat down on his bed and swiftly turned the boy over his lap. Obi Wan flipped Anakin’s robe up, wasting no time tugging his trousers and underwear down to his knee.

Anakin threw a nervous hand back, which Obi Wan took in his own. If Anakin needed reassurance and comfort, he’d gladly hold his hand through it. He wasn’t cruel, after all.

“I am disappointed in you, Anakin. You know exactly why.” Obi Wan said. That alone almost ripped a sob out of Anakin’s mouth.

Lifting his palm, Obi Wan landed it with a sharp swat across his padawan’s sensitive behind.

“I don't appreciate being disrespected, and I know you know better than to ignore my orders. I understand that you are young, and I know that you like to have fun. However, that does not give you an excuse to act however you want.” Obi Wan lectured, his stern smacks landing in a pattern.

Anakin yelped, his bottom lip quivering as he looked down at the floor. “I’m sorry, Master!” He cried out. Obi Wan hummed, proceeding to light Anakin’s bum up with swats.

“I really hope that you are, Anakin. I don’t like spanking you, but I will not let you do or say whatever you want. Profanity and blatant disrespect will never be acceptable in my book.” Obi Wan scolded.

The loud smacks rang throughout the room, Anakin’s pitiful wails accompanying them.

“Furthermore, there is a time and place for joking, padawan. You know that, don’t you?” Obi Wan asked, lifting his knee and spanking Anakin’s sensitive undercurve.

Anakin hollered out in pain, kicking his legs wildly. “OWWW!! OUCH!!! AAAAAH!! YES, MASTER! OWWWHH!” The boy wailed.

Obi Wan easily tossed one of his legs over both of Anakin’s to keep them still, never missing a beat as he swatted the rapidly reddening skin.

“Good, I am going to hold you to that. If a situation like this happens again, and you even think that cursing at me will ever be acceptable, I will make this spanking look like a walk in the park. Do I make myself clear, young man?” Obi Wan asked.

Anakin bawled openly over Obi Wan’s lap, going limp over his knee. “Y-Y-Yes sob M-Masterrr!” He sobbed.

Studying his work, Obi Wan noted Anakin’s red backside and knew that it was time to wrap it up.

So, after making sure his sit spots matched the same color as his bum, Obi Wan finally rested his hand.

“Shhh, it’s alright, Anakin. You’re forgiven, little one. Breathe. Shhh…” Obi Wan softly cooed, rubbing circles on his back.

Anakin let it all out, his shoulders shaking as he cried his little heart out.

Obi Wan fixed his padawan’s pants and scooped him up to sit upright on his lap, resting his chin on top of his head.

He lovingly and soothingly stroked the boy’s hair, whispering sweet nothings as he showered him with comfort.

“Shhh shh shh…easy now, padawan. It’s all over now. You’ve been punished, so we can put this behind us.” Obi Wan said.

Pausing, he then sighed at the corny joke he was about to make (he figured it was worth it though to see his padawan smile. “Or should I say, behind us?” Obi Wan finished, emphasizing the specific word.

As expected, Anakin gave his master a surprised look before bursting into laughter despite his tears, unable to hold back the genuine amusement and humor in his voice.

They stayed like that for a while, both of them enjoying the warm hug and comfortable silence. Anakin always felt the safest he possibly could in Obi Wan’s arms.

Hey, maybe his master wasn’t such a stick in the mud after all.

Anakin would certainly be spontaneously saying ‘May the fourth be with you’ to other masters and padawans for weeks to come, though.

Tonight was merely the origin story.
