Love can be likened to a house, for
if trust is the foundation, then
respect and commitment are the beams that hold
up a bond built
brick by brick
from a blueprint of a future
that two souls share, knowing full well
that the roof of romance might leak
that the floorboards of fidelity might creak
that it might all fall down.
Yet they choose
each other, hoping their house endures
the test of time.
