Summary
New York never sleeps. Neither does Anthony.
Between cigarettes burning to the filter, hotel rooms stained with blood, and orders impossible to refuse, he learned to survive without looking back. The Italian-American mafia taught him early on that people are disposable and that feelings only make the trigger heavier.
Then he meets Husk, a silent man with tired eyes, but with kindnesses too small for that cruel world, and, for the first time in many years, Anthony begins to realize how unbearable his own life has become.
