Summary
She’s happy that she got the artist’s residency, of course- who wouldn’t be? A year of living in one of the most picturesque coastal areas in North America, all-expenses paid, paint and canvasses provided. It’s amazing. It’s a dream come true, and it even comes with a cute little cottage next to a historic lighthouse that Shane’s been dying to paint ever since she saw the application brochure.
So, yeah, she’s happy about it. But not happy enough to get over the burning pit in her stomach when she finds out she has to share it with Ilya-fucking-Rozanova.
Or: Shane and Ilya are up-and-coming artists who get awarded a residency. Together. Which would be amazing, if Rozanova and her paintings (and her stupid, beautiful face) didn’t get so far under Shane’s skin.
