Summary
Captain Harry Potter has been flying long-haul out of Heathrow for twelve years. He's heard every voice in the tower. He knows what professional sounds like.
Draco Malfoy sounds like trouble. What begins as banter on an ATC frequency becomes something neither of them has a procedure for: a slow, ungovernable connection built across static and call signs, between a pilot who says cheers on active frequencies and a controller who alphabetises his spice rack.
When they finally meet, they discover that the shortest distance between two people is also the hardest to close.
A story about two men who talk around the thing before they talk about it, and the long, agonising, wonderful process of finding someone worth landing for.
