The Art of keeping up Disappearances (Folie a Deux)

Summary:

it's been seven years since Pete Wentz was turned into a vampire.
soon after he realised what he had become, he fled both the band and his life in fear of the damage he could do.
he was never heard from again.
flash forward to 2013, the three-piece version of Fall Out Boy just released "Save Rock and Roll" when the lead singer, Patrick Stump, vanishes.
the music industry is controlled by a mysterious cult, a gang of vampires have been waging war on the civilians of Chicago, and soon Patrick is rescued by a face he hasn't seen in years.
Expect everything is different this time.

or, the adventures of a vampire and a demon as they get their revenge and learn to live again.

hello and welcome!
so, this idea has been spinning around my head for a while, and I finally wrote it!
it's kinda self-indulgent in a way? and focuses on half the band, instead of the entire band. if you're looking for more YBC or little less 16 candles with the rest of the band (and more "characters") I have a few other fics on my profile!
I'll explain things as I go but this story is very different to the canon of the two videos mentioned, and I feel like I did it differently to my other fics?
so yeah, this is a long winded way for me to say I debated not posting this, but decided "Fuck it! I'm gonna post it anyway!" so enjoy that! as always this is NOT meant to be RPF, but instead the "characters" from the two videos mentioned in the tags. this was also inspired by two AMAZING fics, being "Unholyverse" by Bexless and "I can be different / I CANT BE PUPPETED" by MadGreyDawn, these fics are both so good and I can't pretend they didnt inspire a lot of this story!

Chapter 1: Prologue - We sure are in for a Show Tonight.

the news plays on the TV, a blonde news reporter looks down to her desk and reads from a script.

"only a short 6 days since Fall Out Boy released their comeback album Save Rock and Roll, the band's lead singer, Patrick Stump, has been reported missing.
he was last seen leaving his home yesterday afternoon, police say that he has vanished without a trace"

a picture of him is shown on the screen, smiling and sitting beside Joe and Andy during some interview a few weeks ago.
he's older now, they all are, and it's weird to see them being interviewed again.

the reporter continues speaking.
"this is not the first disappearance that the band has suffered.
seven years ago, front-man and bassist Pete Wentz also went missing, his car was found abandoned near a forest in northern California. he's never been seen again, and was declared dead just a few short months ago when a skeleton was found that matched Wentz's height and build."
the idea to stop watching the report does cross my mind, but I keep watching, because she starts talking about Patrick again.

"with Stump being the second band member to disappear, the world is wondering if he will ever be seen again"
