There are so very many things wrong with the Crown Princess of the Fire Nation. She does not think, speak, nor act in any way approaching normalcy and yet, as dictated by her position of supreme power, she cannot be ignored. If she was ever to fall, if her profound intelligence, skill, and authority were all to be bested, there is no doubt that the influence of her actions on those closest to her and so many more would make for scars that will never fade.
But depravity, however baseless it may seem, is not a natural born trait. Every disease has its place of birth. To see it incubate, fester, and sprout forth inside someone, that is the true journey to understanding.
