    Raton is the beating heart of the continent.

    A city of railways, riverboats, foundries, markets, and a thousand lives passing through at any given moment. People come to Raton to disappear, to start over, to make a living, or to lose one. The trains run on time. The wine is cheap. The winters are brutal. Life goes on.

    Gabriel arrives hoping for a fresh start. A rookie officer from a distant farming town, he joins the Raton Trade Authority determined to help people and prove himself worthy of the badge he's worked so hard to earn. Under the watchful eye of his stern commanding officer, Iseult, and alongside a rival rookie who seems determined to outdo him at every turn, Gabriel begins to carve out a place for himself in a city that never stops moving.

    But something is wrong.

    Dockworkers lose their tempers without warning. Families whisper about loved ones acting strangely. People vanish. Investigations stall. Rumors spread faster than answers. By the time anyone realizes the danger is real, winter is already approaching.
