this is supposed to be a one-shot, but I already love these two idiots way too much, so maybe, just maybe, there will be more

Chapter 1: The Party

Chapter Text

“I told you now for the millionth time, I really don’t wanna have details about your sex life, about your apparently super hot new girlfriend.” Agatha leaned back into the couch, nursing her already second glass of wine.

“I’m just saying that I’m -”

“I don’t wanna hear it, Alice!” Agatha groaned as she rolled her eyes.

“I’m happy.” Alice said with a soft smile.
Agatha set her glass down on the living room table and shifted on the couch so that she could look at her.

“Fucking sap.” She mumbled to herself.
Alice had insisted on having a weekly meet-up session after Agatha started shutting herself out of her and her own life. It had been 4 months now since Wanda and Agatha separated.

“Oh come on, I remember a time where you were so smitten about -”

“Don’t!” Alice started sipping her wine, and the only thing Agatha could hear was the radio in the background announcing yet another car accident on the highway, and for a moment she wished to be the driver. Agatha would never say it out loud, she would never admit that her heart shattered into a million pieces after she found her girlfriend with one of her colleagues in their bed.

“You’re a pain in the ass!” Agatha said, but without any bite behind it.

After everything that had happened, she crashed on Alice’s couch for a few weeks before she found her new apartment. Nothing in the world would have made Agatha go back to the place where she got cheated on. In their apartment, Agatha had paid for everything, their monthly allowance, every piece of furniture and kitchen aid. With only a suitcase full of her clothes and Scratchy, Agatha stood in front of Alice’s apartment that one night.

“You should go out, have fun, find someone new.” Alice, bless her, always tried to save the situation, which mostly barely helped.

“I don’t wanna go out, I have fun staying in, and I will not find someone new. I’m done.” At that Alice blurred out a laugh, and she drank the last bit of her wine.

“Give it a few more weeks and you’ll become an animal again. I can barely believe that you went without any sex the last 4 months.” She said, still laughing.

“I’m very capable of taking care of myself, thank you very much.” Agatha said while she filled her third glass of red wine.

Alice scoffed. “Yeah, sure and that’s why your mood is constantly at zero point.”

“That’s just my personality.” That made Alice chuckle and she set down her empty glass.

Alice stood up to get a new wine bottle from the kitchen and left her alone in her living room. She did take care of herself, and yes, she was also very much capable of it, but it’s different when you have someone on your side. Not that she would ever admit it, but she really had been feeling a bit lonely these past few weeks. Her apartment isn’t big, but big enough for more than her and little Scratchy, who has his own little kingdom in the unused room. It’s actually a room for a child, and for her, her little white and brown rabbit is like her son.

“Ok, you don’t need to throw yourself right back into the dating pool, but at least get out there with me. Jen is throwing her birthday party next Saturday, and she would really like to meet you.” Alice sat back down on the couch, and Agatha grabbed the new, full bottle of wine from her. She started to shake her head as the bottle opened with a dull thud.

“Oh come on. It’s just a birthday party, you don’t even have to talk to anyone. Just for a few hours.” Alice said it in her ‘I promise it will be amazing’ voice, and even though Agatha knew she was mostly right, she also knew she was not a fan of getting invited to a party full of strangers.

“I don’t really know Alice… It’s not really my place to be.” She sipped her freshly poured glass of red wine.

“She specifically asked for you to come!” Agatha looked into her glass and tried not to look at her. She knew if she did, she would say yes to it. So she just rolled her eyes.

“Urg, ok. Whatever.” She mumbled into her glass and gulped the rest down.

“I swear you won’t regret it.” She said with a sly smile. Agatha looked at her now for a bit longer, not trusting the whole thing. But what don’t you do for your best friend.

“If that’s a trap, I will let Scratchy destroy the other side of your couch too!”

The few weeks Agatha lived with Alice, Scratchy hopped freely through her little apartment. What she did not think of was that he might not be the nicest to her furniture.

“Don’t you dare, you still owe me a new couch. That little rabbit of yours is just as evil as you are.”

“No, he is just sensitive to new surroundings!”

Alice scoffed. “I don’t see any of your furniture gnawed on!”

“Cause he feels comfortable with me here alone!”

“Oh so it’s my fault?” Alice said in mocking defense as she started laughing.

“I’ll come with you to that fucking birthday party from your fucking new girlfriend, and we just call it quits!” Agatha let herself fall back into the couch.

“That’s not how this works, but whatever, fine. I’ll take it!” Alice rolled her eyes, and the night went on with more nagging and bickering from both of them.

______

For now, 24 minutes she stood in front of her dresser. 24 minutes too long just to find something that would fit the occasion. She never really used to be someone who thought about her outfits too much. Of course she dressed nicely, chic even. Barely any dresses, mostly suits, button-ups with rolled sleeves, black turtlenecks, silver rings, sometimes a leather jacket thrown over her shoulders.

Since she started dating Wanda a year ago, she nearly never stopped thinking about what she was wearing. Others would’ve called her a butch. Agatha barely cared about any of those labels, but the moment Wanda started to say it like an insult, she started dressing… more for the occasions. Softer blouses instead of loose shirts, fitted coats instead of leather jackets, sometimes even heels instead of her usual boots. She started matching with her, even letting Wanda control what she was going to wear to specific events.

Most of the time she hated it, now she hated it even more. Especially cause she only had 10 minutes left till she had to leave and go to that stupid birthday party of her best friend’s new girlfriend. Agatha groaned and took the first best thing. Who cares if she was late? She is always late. And why be on time to something she doesn’t even wanna go to?

As she took her keys from the front door, she checked herself in the mirror one last time. Her hair was half-up, half-down, and her makeup simple. Basic jeans, boots, a shirt with a cowboy on it Alice gave her as a gift a few years ago for her birthday. Because “save a horse, ride a cowgirl” or something, she said. But in that moment, she wished she could be the one getting saved.

She took the blazer from her dresser, breathed one more time, and left the apartment already half an hour late.

____

One hour too late, she stepped into the bar, with loud music and already too many people. Agatha searched her way through the first group of people that gathered near the entrance to have a better look over the bar. In one corner of the bar, she immediately saw a woman waving, and she made her way through the crowd.

“Hey youuu, looking good!” Alice greeted her with a huge smile. She was already annoyed by it, and even though she covered it up with a smile, she knew Alice could see through her.

“Hey.” She said with a practically bigger smile when she saw the woman joining Alice next to her with an arm around Alice’s waist now.

“You must be Agatha.”

“And you must be the birthday girl.” Agatha put effort into not coming off too annoyed, but probably failed after Jen looked to Alice.

“Good to have you here! Thank you for coming. Feel welcome here. All these people at that table are my friends.” Jen went on with a bright smile and a soft grip on Alice’s waist. “Order whatever you want, it’s on me!”

That got Agatha’s attention.
“Thank you for inviting me!” She smiled at Jen now genuinely.

After Agatha stepped closer to the table with Jen’s friends, Alice leaned to her.

“Thank you, honestly, for coming tonight! She is really happy to see you.”

“We’ll see. After I drank up all her money.” That got both of them to laugh.

“I’ll get me a drink.” Agatha said, and Alice joined her girlfriend’s side again.

Agatha was never really a big drinker, only occasionally or from time to time at a party, but the older she got, the less she got to party. So she settled for something strong and ordered a whisky neat. She nodded to the bartender, told him to put the drink on Jen’s tab, and turned to go back to the table.

“For fuck’s sake!” Agatha bumped right into someone, nearly spilled the drink over both of them, but saved them because she lost the grip on the glass.

“Fuck, sorry, didn’t see you there.” The woman in front of her said, and another bartender rushed to them to clean the glass off the floor.

“I stood right there at the bar, are you blind?” Agatha said a bit angrier than she intended.

“I said I’m sorry! Jeez, get a grip. I’ll buy you a new one!”

“No thank you!” Agatha turned and left to another side of the bar to order herself a new one.

She gulped down her first whisky nearly right there at the bar, and the second she took back to the table.

She found Alice again and engaged a bit in the conversation she already had with other friends of Jen. She nodded along and said a few things, barely if she had to.

“Does anybody have a lighter?” A woman who sat at the table behind her now stood next to Agatha, and it struck her.

“Yeah, here.” A young boy said and gave his lighter to her.

“You smoke again? Really?” Jen said, looking mildly concerned. The woman just rolled her eyes and then looked to Agatha.

“What’s up, I’m Rio by the way.” She held out her hand for her to shake.

Agatha looked at the other woman’s hand and obviously didn’t take it.

“So you’re a friend of Jen’s?” Agatha shot back at her.

“Less a friend, more the friend.” Rio smiled at her triumphantly.

“Rio is my best friend.” Jen immediately said as she picked up on the tense vibe.

Agatha only shot her eyebrows up and looked over to Alice. Alice smiled to Jen, but the moment she saw Agatha’s face, it slipped.

“We already had an, let’s say, not too good encounter at the bar earlier.” Rio explained for the two of them.

“That on, buying me a drink, huh?” She shot back at Rio, and it had to be that nothing in this world could shake this woman’s good mood.

Alice sensed the tension, looked at her girlfriend, who immediately started to distract Rio with talking on and on about how much she appreciated her being there. After a few more free drinks that Agatha got for herself, she felt like she could actually enjoy being here a bit more. Alice even got her so far that she danced with her for more than just a song.

“We should do that more often!” Alice nearly screamed in her ear, cause the music was so loud.

“What?”

“Go out! Dance! Drink! Have fun!” She pulled Agatha closer to her, and her front was flushed to Alice’s. She pulled her into a hug, and Agatha actually enjoyed being held for a moment, or maybe it was just the two shots of tequila and the whiskies that got her feeling like this. Alice got pulled away from her not long after by her girlfriend, leaving Agatha alone on the dance floor to ‘Maneater’. The crowd, where she stood in the middle of it, was mostly women singing to it. Everyone was so close till she felt someone right behind her.

“Don’t freak out.” said the woman behind her into her ear, and she was so close she could feel her breath on her neck. Agatha immediately knew the voice and turned to her.

“Have you seen Jen?” Rio said louder now because of the distance she put between them.

“Over there with Alice.” She pointed into the crowd where no one could really make anyone out anymore, and Rio just nodded.

‘DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love Again’ started, and the crowd got even louder, and Agatha got shoved into Rio.

“Sorry.” Agatha said, but it was probably too loud for the other woman to hear it. Rio just moved to the music, and in that moment she realized her hands were on Agatha’s hips, moving her with her.

Let it be the state of her mind, the many people, the music, or whatever in God’s name, but the moment she looked at Rio, how they moved together made her feel…

She ripped herself out of her hands, out of the crowd, into the bathroom of the bar and into a stall.

That was not a place to panic, not here anyway. She didn’t want to feel anything, but it had been a while since she had been near anyone. For way too many months, and especially not someone who was like her. She groaned and hid her face in her hands. Alice was right, and she hated it! She was underfucked for months now, cause she didn’t even have one one-night stand since she broke up with Wanda. The only thing she had now was a drawer stuffed to the brim with toys she barely used, cause nothing could really satisfy her anymore anyway.

She shook it off and stepped out of the bathroom back to the others. She saw Alice right away, sitting next to her girlfriend in the corner of the bar.

“Hey party girl.” Alice said, obviously drunk.

“You’re drunk!” Agatha sat down next to her.

“Maybe a bit.”

“A bit more than just a bit!” Jen said and kissed her cheek.

Agatha just rolled her eyes, but with a smile. She loved her best friend, Alice was always the one person who could get her out of the deepest places. Even though she can be annoying as fuck, she loved that stupid freak.

“You get her home safe later?” Agatha glared at Jen, and she immediately nodded, seemingly very sober.

“Nooo don’t go already!” Alice pulled her so close to her, she could smell the tequila.

“I’m tired, I just wanna go home, Scratchy probably misses me too.” She peeled herself off and away from Alice.

“You’re such a loser, Harkness.” Alice said, but with no bite behind it. Agatha laughed and placed a kiss on her cheek.

“You better bring her home safe!” was the last thing she said to Jen, and then she left.

The cold air hit her face, and she pulled her jacket on. For a moment she stood there, looking out onto the nearly empty parking lot and the gas station across the street.

She needed to order an Uber and leave as fast as possible before she started doing things she’d regret. Because Agatha had seen beautiful women, extremely hot and attractive women, but never someone like Rio. There was something about her that got under Agatha’s skin in the worst way possible. The confidence, the stupid grin on her face, the way she touched her hips like it was nothing. It made her feel stupid things she didn’t want to feel.

It wasn’t like she denied herself from feeling like this. She very well would like to feel like this again with someone. But not with her, not with Rio, who is Jen’s best friend. Alice would probably kill her, or she would be way too happy about it, which would annoy the fuck out of her. No, this just can’t happen, at least not with this woman!

“You already leaving?” A voice from a few feet away struck her out of her thoughts.

Agatha looked her way and saw the woman she wanted to get away from as far as possible.

“You know it’s a smoking area in there?” She shot back at Rio, who was holding her cigarette in one hand while leaning relaxed against the wall, one foot up on it.

“Needed some air.”

Agatha scoffed, and for whatever reason, her feet carried her right next to Rio, leaning against the wall beside her, and she took the cigarette out of her hand.

“You smoke?” She asked as Agatha took a drag from her cigarette.

“Do you follow me?” Rio took her cigarette back.

“Why would I? Or should I?”

“God no!” Agatha said a bit too fast.

Rio narrowed her eyes at her for a moment before she laughed softly and took another drag from her cigarette before throwing it away.

“Wait… you seriously don’t know?”

“Know what?” Agatha frowned immediately and looked at her.

“Jesus Christ, Alice didn’t tell you?” Rio looked at her, almost amused now.

“Tell me what?”

“That this whole thing was basically a setup.” Rio grinned.

“I knew that bitch dragged me out here for a reason.” Agatha groaned.

Rio laughed quietly.

“To be fair, I agreed to it.” Agatha looked at her.

“That’s embarrassing for both of us.”

“You always this friendly?” Rio smirked.

“Only with people who nearly spill my drink all over me and then pretend to wanna buy me another one.”

“You’re still on that?”

“I hold grudges.”

“I can tell.”

Rio looked at her for a moment longer, still slightly smiling to herself.

“You know, Alice made you sound even meaner.” Agatha scoffed immediately.

“That’s cause I am.”

“Nah.” Rio shook her head lightly.

“And what exactly did Alice tell you about me?”

Rio grinned instantly.

“That you just got out of a relationship, you’re emotionally unavailable and bitchy.”

“Wow.” She puffed out some air.

“And hot.”

Agatha rolled her eyes, but she could feel heat creeping up her neck now.

“Alice talks too much.”

“Jen’s not any better.” Rio laughed under her breath. “She literally showed me your Instagram once.”

Agatha slowly turned her head towards her.

“I’m gonna kill both of them.”

“There she is.”

“What?”

“The scary bitch Alice warned me about.”

Agatha stared at her for a second before letting out an unwilling laugh through her nose.

Rio immediately pointed at her. “There it is.”

“Don’t get used to it.”

“Too late.” Rio leaned back against the wall beside her again. “We’re trauma bonded now.”

“Over what exactly?”

“Your psycho best friend and my psycho best friend trying to play Cupid.”

Agatha hummed.

For a moment they just stood there next to each other in comfortable silence while muffled music echoed through the walls from inside the bar. And honestly? Agatha hated how easy standing next to her suddenly felt. She needed to leave.

Agatha pushed herself off the wall and turned to Rio.

“Ok, anyway, I gotta go.”

Rio pushed herself off the wall too, looking at her with that same stupid grin again.

“Sure.”

Agatha narrowed her eyes slightly.

“What?”

“Nothing.” Rio shrugged lightly. “Just thought you would’ve left like… ten minutes ago.”

“I tried.”

“Mhm.”

Agatha hated the way Rio looked at her. Like she already knew something Agatha was still trying to deny herself.

“You always this annoying?” It was less a question and more a statement of the matter.

“Only when hot women act weird around me.”

Agatha let out a dry laugh.

“God, you’re insufferable.”

“And yet you’re still here.” Rio’s grin only grew.

That one hit harder than it should have. Agatha stepped closer before she could stop herself, enough to suddenly notice how close Rio actually was. Rio looked down at her mouth for the shortest moment.

Fuck.

“You flirt with everyone like this?” Agatha asked, quieter now.

Rio tilted her head slightly.

“You jealous?”

“I barely know you.”

“Didn’t answer my question.”

Agatha should leave, like right now, but instead she stayed exactly where she was. Rio’s eyes flicked down to her lips again.

“You keep looking at me like that,” Rio said softly, “and I might get the wrong idea.”

Agatha scoffed quietly, cause who was she to say that. “Maybe you already got it.”

And that did it. Rio grabbed the front of her jacket and pulled her into a fierce kiss.

Agatha should’ve stopped it there. Instead she kissed her back harder. Rio’s hand slipped from the front of her jacket to her waist, pulling her closer till there barely was space left between them.

“Thought you wanted to leave,” Rio murmured against her mouth because Agatha started leaning into her.

“Shut up.”

Rio laughed quietly into the next kiss, and honestly? That sound alone nearly killed her.
Agatha pulled back first this time, slightly breathless.

“I hate you already.”

Rio grinned against her mouth. “You wanna come prove that?”

Agatha stared at her for a second, still way too close, still feeling Rio’s hand on her waist.

This was such a bad idea.

“You sober enough to get home alone?” Rio asked after they pulled apart slightly.

Agatha laughed dryly. “You always this responsible after making out with strangers outside bars?”

“Only hot emotionally unavailable ones.”

Agatha rolled her eyes. “God, stop talking.”

Rio only smiled again, like she already knew what Agatha was about to do before she did.

“Take me home then.”

They ordered an Uber to Agatha’s place, and honestly, the whole ride there felt like torture. Every accidental brush of Rio’s hand against hers, every look she threw her way, every stupid smug smile made Agatha feel like she was losing her damn mind.

By the time they stood in front of her apartment door, she could already feel Rio’s eyes on her again while she searched for her keys.

“This the part where you murder me?” Rio asked lightly behind her.

“Thinking about it.” Agatha muttered as she unlocked the door.

Rio laughed quietly again, and fuck, there was that sound again.

Agatha pushed the apartment door open and let Rio step inside first before following right after her. The second the door clicked shut behind them, the apartment suddenly felt way too small.

She grabbed the front of Rio’s jacket and pulled her into another kiss before either of them could say anything else. Harder this time, like she had been touch-starved for months and suddenly couldn’t think straight anymore, because she was and she couldn’t.

Rio stumbled slightly backwards so her back hit the door and her front flushed against Agatha, one hand immediately grabbing her waist again.

“Thought you hated me already,” Rio murmured against her lips.

Agatha kissed her again before she could keep talking.
It had been way too long since someone touched her like this. Since someone kissed her like they actually wanted her. Rio’s hands slid up her sides slowly, and Agatha felt herself melt into it for just a second before catching herself again. This was dangerous, Rio was dangerous. And somehow that only made her pull her even closer.

Rio was pressed with her back against the door, and Agatha stood flushed in front of her when she felt Rio’s hips buckle forward. She only heard a moan, but couldn’t make out if it came from herself or Rio. Rio’s hips kept grinding against her, searching for more friction, so Agatha put her knee up between her legs.

“I need more of you than just that.” Rio breathed out and looked at her for the first time after Agatha had decided to let her in.

She grabbed her hand and led them both into her bedroom. Rio pushed her onto her bed and let herself fall onto Agatha, catching herself with both hands next to her head.

“You wanna take control over this situation?” Agatha asked quietly, one eyebrow raised as her hands settled on Rio’s waist.

“No. If you wanna be in control, you can be.” Rio said with a grin on her face that made Agatha go smitten just for a moment.

Agatha pulled her closer and back down to her mouth to kiss her, and she again melted into it immediately. She licked into her mouth slowly, her tongue playing with hers, making her moan softly against her lips and buckle her hips up higher against Rio’s. Rio took that as an invitation, and Agatha felt her hand on the button of her pants.

Agatha grabbed Rio’s wrist for a second, not to stop her, just to look at her again. Rio’s hair had already fallen messily into her face, lips swollen from kissing, breath just as uneven as her own.

“Still wanna be in control?” Rio asked quietly against her mouth.

Agatha only answered by pulling her back into another kiss, letting go of her wrist so Rio could open her pants, but Agatha quickly pulled Rio’s loose shirt off and just looked at her for a second.

A dark green lacy bra, Agatha scoffed softly.

“So not only Jen and Alice were planning something then?”

“Oh come on -”

“Bet you also wear matching panties.” Agatha unbuttoned Rio’s pants and pulled them slightly down her hips before she looked up at her again with a grin. And with one quick movement, Agatha swapped them over so she could be on top. Rio let out a surprised gasp and suddenly found herself pinned beneath her.

One of Agatha’s hands glided softly over Rio’s whole body, making her tremble, down to her inner thigh to then cup her crotch. Both of them started breathing faster than they had before, as Agatha could feel the wetness through Rio’s panties.

“Fuck, you’re always this wet?” Her breath stuttered for a moment. For such a long time, she hadn’t had anyone this close, this needy for her.

“Not usually.” Rio grinned, and Agatha had to kiss that stupid grin away from her mouth. The ball of her hand grinding down on the other woman’s clit brought out a guttural moan.

Agatha saw the need in her eyes, begging for her touch, and without having to say it, she pulled Rio’s panties down and off of her. Her thumb spreading her and rubbing her wetness over her pussy up to her clit. Rio arched into her touch and let out a moan that made Agatha feel wild and wanting more of her. More of Rio, more of this moment, more moments of Rio. She looked at her as she started circling her clit, pressing heated kisses and little bites over Rio’s neck and cleavage.

“Inside.” Rio moaned out, and Agatha slid one finger inside her. She felt Rio’s hands holding onto her back, pulling her near to kiss her again.

“Agatha, I want you to fuck me!” These words alone nearly made her lose her mind.

She pressed two more fingers inside her with no problem, which made Rio arch her back up from the mattress. She cried out a guttural moan, and Agatha started pumping her fingers in and out of her, making her whimper. Rio’s nails dug themselves deeper into her back, probably leaving marks all over her skin. But she honestly couldn’t care less. The sounds Rio made beneath her only pushed her further, made her want to keep going till the other woman completely fell apart underneath her.

“My- fuck, Agatha, my clit. Please.” Rio whimpered beneath her, and with that please, she couldn’t deny Rio anything anymore, so her thumb found her clit. She only saw Rio’s eyes roll back, her mouth fall open, and her legs tremble as she fell apart beneath her, breathing out in a broken whimper.

Agatha let her ride out her orgasm slowly, holding onto her hips while Rio trembled beneath her. Her breathing was uneven, little shaky whimpers still leaving her mouth every now and then while she tried to catch her breath again.

For a moment, Agatha just looked at her. Messy hair spread over the pillow, swollen lips, flushed skin and those half-lidded eyes looking back at her like she was completely gone already.

And fuck, that did something to her. The way she lay there in her bed, looking so beautifully gone for her, only her in that moment beneath her.

She pulled her fingers out of Rio, and she let out one little whimper. Agatha let herself fall down next to her, Rio looking at over as she licked Rio off her fingers with a little moan, cause fuck did she taste good and fuck did she regret not tasting her from the source.

Rio looked at her with those stupid cute deer-like eyes and that stupid grin of hers that made Agatha roll her eyes.

“You’re still wearing too much,” Rio said, still breathless, and however that woman could manage to come back from her orgasm that quick, she honestly had no idea.

Agatha looked down at herself for a moment before scoffing softly.

“Jesus Christ, you’re insatiable.”

Rio only grinned wider from where she lay tangled in her sheets, hair completely ruined and lips still swollen from kissing.

And fuck, that sight alone nearly made her lose her mind all over again.

Rio’s fingers slowly hooked into the waistband of Agatha’s pants, tugging lightly at them while looking up at her.

“C’mere.”

Agatha hated how fast her body reacted to that. Like every wall she had built over the past months suddenly stopped existing the second Rio looked at her like that.

She leaned back over her again, kissing her slower this time, feeling Rio smile against her mouth when her hands finally started getting rid of the rest of her clothes.

The rest of the night melted together after that.

Heated kisses, tangled sheets, breathless laughs somewhere in between desperate touches and whispered curses against each other’s skin. Every time Agatha thought she finally had enough of Rio, the other woman pulled another sound out of her she didn’t even know she could make.

And somehow the night kept going till both of them ended up exhausted in her sheets. Both ended up laying completely fucked out in Agatha’s bed.

Agatha lay on Rio’s chest, closing her eyes to the soft movements of her breathing beneath her. She felt so content and calm like she hadn’t in the past months, or maybe even ever. She looked up, seeing Rio’s eyes already closed, hickeys on her neck and scattered all over her body, and hers too.

She looked so calm after all the need she had for Agatha just a few hours before.

Agatha slowly traced her fingers over Rio’s stomach absentmindedly while the room stayed quiet around them. The city lights outside barely reached her bedroom now, only enough to paint soft shadows over Rio’s skin.

And honestly? Agatha hated how comfortable this already felt.

Usually after sex she wanted distance. But now she found herself staying exactly where she was, listening to Rio’s heartbeat underneath her ear while sleep slowly started pulling at her too.

For the first time in a very long while, Agatha didn’t feel lonely.
