Life in the Fire Nation is wonderful. Five years into their marriage, Zuko and Toph have found a peaceful rhythm between ruling a nation, policing a metropolis, and raising their chaotic, fire-sneezing four-year-old daughter, Izumi.
When the Gaang gathers at the Southern Air Temple to await the birth of Katara and Aang's first child, a well-meaning, passing comment about the "priceless first sight of your baby" cuts Toph deeper than anyone realizes.
