"Falling asleep back there, Vale?" Davinos's smile is visible in the small vanity mirror before them. It has a lazy edge to it, something sarcastic and dripping with blood. Normally, Kattigan wouldn't give two shits, but there's only so much of the brat's needling he can take. "You must be getting older than I thought. You're going to miss the party before it even starts."
