Reference of the house bedroom :
“I am just gonna rest early today. I feel so tired. I dont know why,” Sohee said as she prepped her self to get onto her bed. “Are you sure you have taken all the vitamins? How long have you felt this way?” Jong-eun, her mom, said as she lean to Sohee’s bedroom door with a look of worries. “Hmm, I think almost a month including today?, I just felt fatigue, I went to the doctor as you told me to, they said I am fine, even to psychologist, I tried to go for more outdoor activities with my pace too but it just keep getting worse, like something missing,” Sohee said as she let out sigh starring at the ceiling with confused look. “um.. I see. What about this? I make you some herb medicine with ginger cinnamon that I always make and just go to sleep. We’ll talk later tomorrow, okay?” Sohee’s mom said with an assuring smile, but she can’t lie. She also feels a little more agitated than usual as she fidgeting her emerald pendant necklace. Sohee nodded and smile, she still stare at the ceiling and trying to calm her mind as she fidgeting with the necklace that her mom gifted her on her 18th birthday.
She drank the herb medicine and slowly drifting away to sleep. “so how do you find her again?” said by a deep voice unknown to her but felt like she really was there. “The thing is, I am not exactly sure that she is who I think she is, but my intuition said that she is the person who our queen talked about, I mean she is young but the depiction from the letter that the queen left us really uncanny to her and she fell down as she stumbled her way outside near the water fountain.” As the same, voice said with concerning but assuring tone to the other person in the room.
Sohee still feels heavy and can't seem to wake up nor differentiate if it were a dream or reality in the situation she found herself in. The bed feel really soft but too big compare to her own as she was trying to scan through her mind about her whereabout or whatever happening. She is trying hard to open her eyes, thinking this was a dream while still trying to reach for the voice that she heard that now fell to whispers of another voice. “Is she supposed to wake up soon or aware where she is when you found her?” said by another voice that whisper barely under his breath but she know the voice was distinct from the other voice she just heard. “Well, I am not the one who found her, SAN told me there is a person he never saw at the small gathering today so SAN trying to get her to this room for her own safety and I approached SAN immediately after and well here we are.” said by the familiar voice she heard before.
Sohee trying so hard to open her eyes once, twice and by the third times she can lift it up only really slowly and her view is still hazy. She felt foreign but also familiar with the surrounding though she only can open her eyes for only a bit. She felt like having the worst headache too, using her elbows to get up slowly with wobbly feeling and she felt a presence beside her trying to reach her hand. Her survival mode went up even though she still had a pang hit in her head now. All she wants to do is to escape from the place.
Even though her eyelids can’t fully open yet, she was ready to really get out of there because she knew she was not in her home.
“Hi.. we don't have any intention to hurt you, who are you if I may know?” said by the familiar voice trying to reach out to her with quiet a distance, afraid of startling her. Sohee doesn’t say a word yet. She finally can open her eyes fully and sitting by the edge of the front part of the bed.
She met with unfamiliar and worried gazes full of people. To be exactly men seems to be in their 20s dress in what she thought of 1800s century attire would be like. But they are all fully formal. One has snuggly toothed but also look like a cat, One so tall but quietly observing, One is tall with eyes look like the character she ever seen before called Ponyo, one has sharp but worried eyes which is the only one with only formal shirt rolled up to his elbow showcasing a graze of a healed scar on his right lower hand part, one is small has face similar to bunny-like feature, one who standing idly with his mouth agape and a confused look having a taller proportion to the man with the small bunny-like feature who seems to be same age in a way, one is having his hair tied in bun with similar bunny feature but taller and muscular, one is tall with Lycan leader necklace she ever seen before from her mom’s past box in her attic at home, and one is muscular but seem like younger with glasses and sharp defined face feature.
Sohee ran toward the bedside to her right, finding an old pen as her defense tool. She is still in her survival mode, and still can’t get a grasp of whatever she faced now. It sure is feel too realistic to be a dream. “no the question, who are you? And this is not my house and where is my freaking mom?” Sohee said coldly and trying to take one step ahead toward the man that asked her the question before with a bun and blonde hair. The man with the scar growl under his breath and Sohee was trying to keep herself as steady as possible. Meanwhile, the man with the Lycan necklace beside him trying to hold him to calm him down.
“Okay.. I am Fuma, we are all as surprised as you are, and I assume you don’t know how you get here too and so do we,” Fuma said with a concern look and calm demeanor to calm Sohee down a bit. Sohee still holding the pen hard, shaky and keeping a distance, trying to process and said coldly, “then tell me where is my mom and where am I actually?” “right that sounds fair” said Fuma he took a glance to the man with Lycan necklace and he gave him an assuring nod then he said “you are actually at Yerasah kingdom castle, have you heard of it yet?” Fuma trying to take one slow but steady step toward Sohee to not startle her. “Well, you are not joking in this century. I mean, there are still kingdoms and all in some countries but Yerasah?.. I only heard it from my mom’s bedtime story. Am I hallucinating right now?” Sohee said as she let out a chuckle and looking to the surrounding again not believing what she witnessed and go through as she look to the window on her right where she stand, this is just how her mom depict the inside of the kingdom when she was 4 or 5 years old in her bedtime story pictures. Just now she knew she was still wearing the same pajama she wore right before she went to bed. She is getting more concerned, as it is becoming even real. She tried to brush her eyes twice and calmly close it, and she was still there. Okay, it is real, she thought.
Everyone still have the same worried look, but then Fuma said “I am afraid we dont know your mom whereabout and we genuinely don’t know where she is, if you are still not sure we can show you around the castle because as we said we really don’t know how you get here. May I at least please know your name?” Fuma said calmly as he took another step further toward Sohee. “I am Sohee, Park Sohee, you only have Fuma as your name or..?” Sohee hesitantly said as she take one step slowly. Everyone totally look took aback at what Sohee just said, which left her even more confused, and they all look at her necklace that they must only truly realize by now and look at each other. “I apologize for my rudeness, your royal highness, I am Murata Fuma.” Fuma said as he kneel on one knee before Sohee. “No, no, no I am just Sohee, this is uncomfortable, what is it all about?” Sohee said as she kneel in front of Fuma trying to get him up. She doesn’t know, but she felt familiar already with him and the other, strangely up to a family-like kind of familiar. Sohee doesn’t realize that everyone behind Fuma already kneeling to her too, some are avoiding gaze especially for the man that just growled minutes ago.
The man with Lycan necklace trying to open his mouth, “we really don’t know where to start, perhaps if this is right, you might know that your mom might be familiar with the name called Inid.” he said with a bit of pang sadness subtly showcased within his voice and expression. “Inid is your mom’s best friend. How do I know this because I fought with Inid by her side, and she was our queen for this kingdom” He said as he still kneeling. “What? but you guys let’s stop kneeling. please my knee hurt staying this. way, let’s talk while we sit comfortably here on the floor.” Sohee said nonchalantly, make the man with younger look laugh but stopped by the tallest one as he hit him slightly on the back.
They all sit comfortably in front of the bed that she just wakes up to and they all won't sit until Sohee sits, so Sohee sits first, knowing it. “Okay please continue, also your name is?” Sohee said as she look at the man with Lycan necklace. He cleared his throat. “Oh, I apologize truly for not introducing myself properly. I am the leader of our pack, Koga Yudai, your royal highness.” As he bowed his head while sitting with crossed legs as the other followed. “Pack? okay I have so many questions already, but continue the story you previously told me, please? Thank you,” Sohee said as she is still trying to process what Yudai has said. “Right, so basically before we all fought the great battle, Inid and her best friend well your mom, Jong-eun was a childhood best friend, they all ace at different field but complete each other, then an Alpha man called Donghyun married to your mother and you were born, Inid only ever told her about this story and we never saw your mother, as if she was like protecting your mother and you in a way, then before the great battle, Inid left me and Fuma a long letter that we only able to open if we found this person. She only said before giving the letter to us that the person will come unexpectedly one night in a full moon. None of us will ever see her anywhere, but she will have this emerald necklace with strange attire you have never seen before. We open the letter when we were told by SAN, the previous guard of Inid that now has become the guard of the castle when he saw you with that attire and necklace. We were still unsure after we read the long letter about you as the designated and rightful owner of the throne, as she can see that you fit every character of a ruler and a person who can lead us through these dark times. Inid is our queen, and we fully trusted her. She must have reason to choose you and must have a discussion at least with your mom before making this grand decision I assumed she also know more beyond our knowledge. And about us we are a werewolves pack that Inid united when she found us one by one, starting with me, then Fuma and everyone else. In this kingdom and the kingdom across the land we have equal werewolves, vampires, top assassins, magical women, and sirens. To explain briefly, Inid is our leader, the strongest in all traits of all of us and in our world there is alpha, beta, omega hierarchy of werewolves in their pack. We are all possess different traits and strength level. As for us, we are all alpha wolves pack. And you are such a rare case that rarely ever happened, which is an enigma. Basically enigma is higher than alpha, your admirable strength and traits make you the strongest one out of anyone in any land and most people are intimidated by such strength. Also, some are jealous, wanting to take it all away. The case of an enigma being born only happens in the 17th century with 5 of them being born and only 3 of them that survived till the day they died naturally. I analyzed, correct me if I am wrong about your attire. You are also not from our century and might be beyond ours. To end it shortly, I assume each one of us should introduce ourselves one by one. If there is anything you want to confirm further, you can ask me, Fuma, or Euijoo the person sit right beside me. I apologize for the exhaustive amount of information I must tell. This can be truly a lot to understand for you. We will give you time and space to process your royal highness.” Yudai said gently and looking for any answer from Sohee. She just let out a big sigh, still has lots of questions written on her face “Thank you Yudai for all of this and yes I am aware about the fact of werewolves, vampires, sirens, even magical girls from all the folklore, book references I’ve ever seen or read. It is indeed a lot to process all of this once. I just met you all. I am not aware of the enigma that you told me about, which is strange, but we can talk about it later. Now, at least can each of you briefly introduce yourself here? and please just call me Sohee,” Sohee said, a bit exhausted but curious about what was supposed to feel like her new or long-lost family.
“Hey, I am Taki, the younger alpha of the pack. I never thought this day will come so welcome, Sohee, your royal highness.” As the man on Yudai's left side begins with a grin on his face and a polite bow. “Hey I am Euijoo, Byun Euijoo here. I am the leader of the pack while Yudai is away because we have a lot in our pack. It’s truly an honor to meet you, your royal-Sohee.” as he said awkwardly. “Hey, I am Nicholas. You can call me Nicho if it is comfortable with you, your royal highness. I truly apologize that I growled at you before. It was not in my best knowledge that I meant that way. I am part of the older alpha pack along with Eujioo, Yudai, and Fuma.” he said awkwardly and bowed. “Hi your royal highness Sohee. I, um, my name is Jo or Asakusa Jo. I am part of the alpha pack. I also felt such an honor to meet you.” Jo said shyly and bowed. “Hey, I am Harua, your highness Sohee. I never thought I would ever meet you. Thank you for finally meeting us. I look forward to you leading us, oh I am part of the younger alpha pack.” Harua said with his bunny smile and bowed. “Hey your royal highness Sohee, I am Yuma here, part of the alpha wolves pack. I am also looking forward to you leading the kingdom. If you have questions, especially about cats, I can assist you.” Yuma said shyly and bowed. The rest just giggled. “Hi your royal highness, I would also never think that this day would come. With utmost respect I didn’t know you are this beautiful, as queen Inid never told us. I am Maki, the most handsome and strongest youngest alpha of the pack. I have plenty of questions to ask you. If you don’t mind about the world you live in, thank you,” Maki said with a smile showing his dimples and bowed left Jo hitting him again on the back and a glare from Fuma. “Last, you may already know me from a rough introduction before I am Murata Fuma, the subleader of the alpha wolf's pack. I try to balance everything within our pack. It is truly an honor today to know you. I hope I can further assist to guide you about this kingdom, your royal highness Sohee.” Fuma said one last time with a warm smile and bowed.
“Thank you everyone. It was nice meeting you. I don’t really know how everything work. I am afraid I need more rest so I will get some rest and figure out everything, including how to go back to my world to ask things out with my mom, too. I hope you can understand.” Sohee said with a warm smile..
“We understand your concern, your royal highness. Please let me know if you have anything to ask for or help. We will be nearby. We will let you rest comfortably in this room. Also SAN, the previous guard will be your guard too from now on. He will be just by the door if you need anything.” Yudai said with a warm smile and placing towel and night gown prepared by the servant to her bedside. Just in time as someone knock the door.
“Yes, come in, please.” Sohee said. “Hello your royal highness, I am SAN your guard. I hope I can assist you and keep you safe throughout the night and hopefully after you officially rule the kingdom. It is an honor for me. I will be just by the door if you need anything.” SAN said shyly and plainly trying to keep a distance to respect her. “Thank you and by the way you look awfully familiar, nothing to worry about, though.” Sohee said as she stood by the door, leaving SAN a bit confused and then he just bowed. The rest of the wolves pack not long after going out of her room to give her space, surprisingly their chamber is just right across her room.
Sohee can't really say if a room is fitting to describe it, maybe a chamber, she thought, because it is just 10 times bigger than her actual room in her world. It feels strange in a way and suddenly she became a princess? Queen? So much responsibilities in thought that never crossed her mind even after 25 years living on earth. She checked her own room, as she didn’t get the chance before catching up on processing everything at once. She caught the room beautifully decorated with light beige and white nuance. There’s even a lounge with beige color. The sofa felt so soft, she can just fall asleep there rather than the bed that is uncomfortably 4 times larger than her own bed. There is just a fireplace in front of her and a wooden table at the center. Then the lamps stands are in every corner just bright enough to keep her in the night. She scan through the room what would look like for almost 15 minutes, then she just found out her bathroom was behind her bedstand. She opens the door with the gold knob carefully. It truly feels unbelievable because she found out that the bathroom is one fourth the size of her bedroom here. What is interesting, there is even a shower head, bath tub all decorated in marbles with beige and white color. There is so many soap and teeth brushes prepared. Even what seems to be like a hair dryer. She felt confused. In that century is that supposed to be common?
She finally goes back to her bedside to move her towel and nightgown. Just then, someone knocks on her door. “Who is it?” Sohee asked “Your royal highness, I am the servant that will prepare for you bath, I am Sieun and Nayoung here.” “I am sorry but I don’t think I am going to bathe at this hour, thank you in advance,” Sohee said shortly after still feeling awkward because she just literally got here and still processing what how and why this just happened to her. The two servants sounds like they are deciding to go back by the sounds of their steps living away from the door. Sohee finally lay down on the bed and begins drifting away in a peaceful sleep.
Sun hitting Sohee literally on her face and that is probably why that she is in a state of annoyance, forcing herself to wake up. She felt like running a whole marathon when she finally sits by her bedside, even though she never once joins a marathon or will ever. She opened her eyes, and she was in her home’s bedroom, not the bedroom that she thought of last night. She felt weird and groggy and also can still remember clearly what happened to her last night. Was it just an super realistic dream, or she was hallucinating? She went to her bathroom to do her usual morning routine but then catch her necklace that her mom gave her. She was hesitant about asking her mom about the things she went through last night.
“Hey do you want to make your own breakfast or just have some of the rice and warm kimchi jiggae soup I made?” Sohee’s mom asked with her usual warm smile. “Yeah, I’ll just have the soup, I felt so tired mom, and I think I have so many questions to ask to you,” Sohee said walking lazily to her mom who is already sitting at the dining table. “What is it about this time?” Sohee’s mom asked, trying to stay calm, but Sohee can feel she looks a bit agitated too. “So do you know Inid mom?” Sohee asked while putting one spoonful of soup and rice to her mouth. There is quite a moment of silent between them, and her mom looks a bit more anxious than usual. “Who is that?” Sohee’s mom trying to play cool. “Mom, if you knew her please just let me know, because last night I have like an extra realistic dream where I suddenly in a bed of what seems to feel like a castle I mean it is such a big room to call it just a bedroom. Then I woke up to 9 men who are werewolves seems like in their 20s wearing formal attire of what I thought they would’ve in the 1800s era and they told me Inid their queen left a letter about me being their next queen and one of them said that you and Inid are best friends. It felt absurd, but then I remember the box you left in the attic has a necklace that you told me called a Lycan necklace and one of them wearing it. So- “Sohee said and gets cut off by her mom that clearly in a state of frustration and shock “Sohee.. I am sorry, but that could not be true because yes, Inid was my dearest friend I lost years ago. A castle? She never mentioned she lived in a chateau or something like that. She was my best friend that I met at a summer camp. She has a necklace, yes, and she gave one to me. Then we constantly became best friends until I married to your father. Then I heard news she was in critical condition not long after and hospitalized. She gave me a letter, a Lycan necklace, and the necklace you wore today because she gifted that to you and she particularly said to me to make sure that you wore it on your 18th birthday. I stuck by her side but then the fate just have decided for her to finally rest for good. I was deeply sad and angry since I got busy and ignored one of her many missed calls before that. But no, she does not marry to anyone nor have any family that lived with her except for her butler.” Sohee’s mom finally catching a breath and realized how broken she sounded holding tears explaining to Sohee. Right now, Sohee felt even worse for bringing it up. Sohee was trying to console her mother by giving her a pat on the back of her hand and said, “I didn’t know that I am so sorry. I think it was just an extra realistic dream that I had. Would you at least tell me where they burried her if that’s okay? I mean, she was your closest friend. I would love to pay respect and visit her.” Sohee’s mom raises her gaze from the bowl of soup to Sohee with glassy eyes, then after a bit of a pause she nodded. “Okay, let me take you there after breakfast. It’s just that I found it weird that you get to know her without me ever tell you about her yet. It’s okay.” Sohee’s mom rests her hand on Sohee’s, soothing her and assuring Sohee that it was not Sohee’s fault.
Sohee get ready to visit her mom’s late best friend's grave and said bye to her father who just wake up. They finally went to the graveyard with her mom driving up to 8 km far from her house. It was unlike the usual graveyard she had found or ever visited. It is likely to build for specifically one family with black and ash gravestones that seems to be taken care of weekly. It is clean and as they went in from the high-fence entrance after her mom talking to the guard there; she found fresh lilies and red roses on some graves. As if someone just visited there too.
As they walk deeper to a more secluded area of the graveyard, they found a big gravestone in the center main area with that name “Yerasah, Inid 1970-2018”. Sohee was a bit stunned by the fresh lilies and roses that left behind above the grave that twice the amount of flowers she found from other graves that she saw as she entered before. And there is one big yellow calla lily flower that is just being put in the center of the grave. There is no bouquet, she crouched down to get a better look then she glimpsed a name on the bottom part of the flower stem with paper tape written “Nicholas”. "looks like someone just visited here, did you know anyone close to her called Nicholas?” Sohee said as she pointed out at the flower and her mom already on her knees beside her. Suddenly a man with a black coat and silver rimmed glasses appears beside them standing, clearing his throat.
