Summary
A couple of years following the fall, Hannibal and Will have slipped into a tentative domesticity. Sexually, they have known each other fully. Intimately, there is a newfound barrier. Their bond is frayed, mangled by unspoken truths. Hannibal feels left in the dark, both figuratively and literally, by his lover.
