Summary

Captain Ilya Rozanov of the Beglets has never wanted any stranger twice. He wants it all, he always gets it. His ship is part of the Iskra Free Combine - former rebels turned loosely organized corp, with loose morals to match, as far as the Stewardship is concerned.
They meet on Aurelium Station, the planet-sized neutral hub where two rival corps maintain a peace nobody quite believes in. A handshake on a public concourse. A door that seals behind them on a relay station. A captain saying the other captain's given name into his mouth.
For Shane, every encounter is a small political suicide. For Ilya, every encounter is an internal restructuring he has not asked for. Both corps depend on the corridor.
