Megumi I Wish You Were Born a Girl

Summary:

“itadori and fushiguro were polar opposites. if “two sides of the same coin,” meant heads and tails were opposites, then they would reflect that. itadori was a popular boy who carried chicks on his back, not grades. fushiguro always raised his hand in class, but never ran his mouth.

it was annoying! he was so good at school, and itadori had zero idea of what he was supposed to be doing. and fushiguro made that apparent. ”

Itadori groaned in annoyance, an exaggerated 'ughhh' as he set his phone lazily on the ruffled bedsheets beneath his body. This arrangement made by his mom was 'totally unnecessary' as he had said. Sure, his grades were dropping, but so what? He had no time for education when he had girls basically begging for his attention. That's what he lived for.

The last thing he needed was his polar opposite teaching him about proper english outside of school.

His tutor was the type of guy to sit out during P.E., occasionally studying the sport more than actually playing and participating in it. He was the type of guy to occupy an empty closet with his computer and headphones if he got dragged to a party. Fushiguro was the type of guy Itadori despised.

1:02 PM, the clock on his nightstand read. Which means he had around 23 minutes until Fushiguro would be at his door.

He sat up and stretched, a groggy yawn leaving his lips as his eyes shut momentarily. He didn't want to get up, he really didn't. He didn't want to read, he didn't want to write, and he really didn't want to see Fushiguro.

But there was nothing he could do, he couldn't just text him, 'hey yeah i really don't wanna see you because i'm a lazy bum.' So he unbuttoned his pajamas and threw them under his bed, putting on jeans and a striped short sleeve.

Itadori folded his blanket and surprisingly picked up some empty pink lemonade monster cans, crushing them before dropping them into his messy rubbish bin.

After for what felt like a few empty hours of just simply cleaning up his room, Itadori heard the front doorbell ring. A small sound that seemed to send his heart into a frenzy. Was it fear? No. Was it excitement? Never. Was it boredom? Hopefully.

"Itadori, I'm here," A monotone voice called from the other side of the front door. Itadori tripped over his own feet as he stumbled towards the door, catching his breath and twisting the door knob.

"Uh, hey. Sorry for the mess..." Itadori rubbed the back of his neck, a nervous  habit of his. He awkwardly stepped aside, holding the door open with a not-so-steady hand.
