Coriolanus finds the tax notice presented to his family earlier than he expected. Years earlier, at that. He wasn't prepared. Not at all. He was supposed to have time to figure this out. Not at fourteen with no means to pay for it, with no opportunities to weasel his way out.
That's how he finds himself at Bell's newly re-opened nightclub. He went in hoping to find a month's worth of tax money, went out with a marriage proposal instead.
