Sleepless is about a girl stuck in the in-between. It's mundane, melancholic life. It's about a girl who was sure her life was supposed to be just like the shows she grew up watching, but it hasn't happened yet. She’s starting to think it only happens to other people. It's a story about life happening to the girl. It's a story about being off-screen in your own narrative. It's a story about isolation. It's a story about connection. It's a story about Sammi.

Writting this at chapter 2
Really sad, but without anything sad happening, just purely by prose. Story about being a depressed autistic teenager and waiting for things to happen more than they ever actually happen.
Sammi is just incredibly relatable in a way that feels bad. And thats really the point. This is the type of story you read slowly because otherwise it'll make you feel too bad all at once if you don't.
