"HELLOOO, my budding bandwagons!" Caine greeted. "Today I will be turning myself into your FAAVORITE childhood companion! The tooth fairy!" He snapped his fingers and his cane turned into a wand, his red suit into a flowy dress of the same color, and his top hat into a tiara, sparkly fairy wings fluttering behind him.
Ragatha snicker-snorted into her hand. "That's cute, Caine."
Kinger also found it adorable, if his smiling eyes and hand covering his nonexistent mouth were any indication.
"That's not my favorite childhood creature." Jax squinted at him, hand on his hip.
Pomni also squinted, but in confusion rather than annoyance and disgust. "Caine, you do realize the tooth fairy isn't a fairy made of a teeth, right..?"
"Well-! Spbfbffah-" he sputtered, wings' flap pattern matching his noises. "What is it then?!"
Gangle explained, "it takes kids' teeth when they-" Caine took that as the full explanation, yelling "OH!" before she finished.
He locked eyes with Jax, whose expression and arms immediately dropped.
"Wait- Caine-"
Caine slowly flew closer, extending his hands as he got closer.
Jax backed up, "Wait-" he coughed out puffy laughs. "You aren't really gonna take my teeth-!?"
"It's my JOB as your resident tooth fairy, my dearest steam-baked bone mobile."
"Your dearest WHAT??" Jax kept nervously backing up, before tripping over Pomni and staring up at Caine from the ground like he was... genuinely petrified??
Before Pomni could try to calm him down, Kinger yelled "DON'T WORRY, JAX!!" and rushed over holding duct tape he'd seemingly produced from thin air.
Kinger placed the tip of the tape on Jax's cheek and wrapped it around again and again until it fully covered his mouth.
Caine drooped. "Aww... How am I supposed to carry out my duties now? WELL-!" He straightened back up. "I'LL SIMPLY HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOU TO REMOVE THE TAPE! And until then I'll fulfill my other duty, as your ringmaster! Your adventure today is simple! Play Hide and Seek in a bouncy castle maze until you all get bored!"
Pomni glanced around. "So... how is the tooth fairy thing relevant to this?"
"Oh." He floated slightly lower. "It isn't, I guess."
*scribble scibble*
"WHAT ARE YOU DRAWING, GANGLE??" Caine got distracted and fluttered over, hovering over her shoulder, and saw her drawing him in his tooth fairy outfit. "OH, YIPPEE!!!" He flew higher and cheered. "I'm so glad you find me a worthy muse! Would you like to me pose for you??"
"Sure." Gangle smiled at him.
"WAIT!! You still have to go on your ADVEEENTURE!!" He flailed the word 'adventure' and then opened a portal and gestured everyone towards it. "So I will accompany you, Gangle, my poppy-seeded plant pack!"
"Okay," she mumbled as everyone shuffled over to the portal.
Caine flew next to her and did a barrel-roll in place beside her head, in excitement.
Jax grumbled things nobody could make out through his tape, and Pomni patted his hand to console him as he scowled. He ripped his hand away from hers and she sighed.
