   Summary

   Lance McClain has always dreamed of a bigger life than he would get in the healers quadrant. So despite his family's protests he joins the rider quadrant instead. As he learns to survive this new life he has chosen for himself, he finds himself in the middle of a war that has been raging for generations. With the help of his new dragon and some friends made along the way, he now has to figure out how to navigate war, loss, and love, and decide where his loyalties truly lie.
