Summary
Before the four nations emerged, there was Dayin a land corrupted through endless war mongering between rivaling clans and the cowardice and incompetence of officials. The Xie, a legendary clan of great warriors bearing fire and protectors of Dragons, and the elite imperial scholars of the Gongsun clan, who fill the skies with their air bending and those who listen with intellect, who revere the Knowledge Seekers, clans have been brutally massacred as a result of an imperial purge for treason. One sole survivor for each of the two clans remains, who bears the ultimate burden of duty intertwined with guilt and have sworn vengeance against the forces that brought to waste their respective clans. Yet, a deeper unsettling truth remains that goes far beyond 17 years ago. It stretches far into the heavens themselves, which have darkened and turn against plea. The Avatar, the timeless warrior, scholar, healer, the timeless and all powerful bender who processes all four elements must continue fulfilling their karma and eternal duty to the world.
The Avatar and companions of the Avatar must pursue Jade in both virtue and spirit, and carve from stone a new era of balance and peace for humans and spirits.
