   Summary

“Don’t go to Jisan Village, Shen Yuan.”

   He woke with a gasp.

Shen Yuan only came to Jisan for his health. Clean mountain air, a beautiful old house, a few quiet weeks away from Shanghai—that was supposed to be all.

But Jisan has been waiting for a Shen to come home.

As the Autumn Festival approaches and chrysanthemums bloom throughout the village, its hospitality begins to feel less like kindness and more like preparation.

By the time Shen Yuan understands what his good fortune truly means, he is already dressed in red.
