Summary
As a boy, before ever reaching the Circle tower, Anders ran away from the templars only to get snatched up by Tevinter slave hunters. There, in the Imperium, he wasn’t a dangerous, sinful apostate – he was incaensor, a slave mage. But it wasn’t all bad. He made a friend – a fellow slave named Leto, who aimed at earning himself the rank of Danarius’ personal guard when he grew up. Small moments of playing and laughing with Leto made up for any misery their master had in store for them. They grew up and their bond only deepened, and he hoped that it was strong enough for him to convince Leto to not go through with the ritual.
