All Harrie Potter has ever known is pain and betrayal. Her parents hated her from the moment of her birth, for being a girl but mainly because she had the potential to carry a creature inheritance. When it was proven that she inherited a pureblood’s ultimate shame, her parents sold her to HYDRA to be a test subject, and hopefully be killed in the process, ridding her parents of their shame. But she didn’t die. She survived, even when she didn’t want to. After nearly two decades of experiments and torture, Harrie didn’t expect for anything to be any different, until a certain American soldier was brought into her cell.
Bucky Barnes knew that being a POW meant that more than likely he was going to die, whether from torture, hard labor, or just outright being executed, there was little chance of survival or rescue. Packed in with other POWs, he fought to retain whatever sanity he had left. But suddenly, he had another reason to fight. A young woman who he developed a bond with became his sole reason for living, his reason for fighting. Harrie Potter was nothing like he expected or ever faced before, but after meeting her, he was willing to fight this whole damn war to keep her safe.
