   Summary

   It has been a long, tedious, and lonely life for the vampire Neuvillette - so much so, he has since grown apathetic to the world around him. Yet, he insists on living on, unlike many of his bygone kin, if not due to his own pride, then out of spite for his former adversaries. Humans can only amuse him so much, he thinks, until one day, he crosses paths with a duo: a hunter, Wriothesley, as well as his young assistant, Sigewinne. Oblivious to his true nature, they show him great kindness, although Neuvillette can’t help but feel that the two are also hiding their own fair share of dark secrets...
   Curious and with nothing to lose, he allows himself to be swayed into a lasting friendship, even as his bloodlust grows, and with each day, it becomes harder and harder for him to resist sinking his teeth into Wriothesley’s neck. Just what is it that makes that man so tempting, anyway?

    

   ((UPDATE: As of chapter 12, the main story of the fic is complete. Chapter 13 will be a 'bonus' with some extra fluff, worldbuilding and smut :) ))
