~♡October 1985♡~
Linda Carver was at her house doing laundry when her doorbell rang. She had opened the door to find Joyce Byers - Her disowned brothers ex Wife/the god mother to her kids - at her door.
" Hey Linda... "
" Joyce-! Its been so long how have you been doing? "
" Ive been good-! How about you? "
"Im good. So what brings you here? "
Joyce takes a deep breath "So you know how me and my children are moving to California? "
"Mhm! Ive heard California is very fun "
" I had a question. Could Will and my Daughter - Jane - stay here with you and Jay? Neither of them want to leave Hawkins and they are persistant about that-. "
Linda pauses " Ofcourse-! But you have a daughter? "
"Oh-! Yeah she was Hoppers and i adopted her after he...." she trails off "But thank you very much for allowing them to stay "
"Its no problem-! Your my sister i would do anything-! " She claps her hands together.
As Joyce leaves Linda turns around to tell Jason about Will and Jane staying here. " JASON-! " She yells as Jason walks down with one of his friends - Chance - "Yeah?" " Liam and his Step sister are gonna stay here while Joyce and Jon live in California. " Linda says while she finishes the laundry "Wait-! Liam has a sister-?"
" Yeah her name is Jane she seems nice you would like her "
"Whos liam...? Chance quietly asks to Jason
" My cousin-! You would like him "
~{The Next Day}~
Joyce was driving Will and Jane to Linda's house after they packed their things in boxes. Will was reassuring her that Jay and Aunt Linda were nice people and not bad men like Brenner.
As they parked in their drive way Will and Jane brought their things inside of the house where Jason and Linda were waiting to show them around.
" Hey-! You must be Jane im Jason or Jay as family calls me..which you can call me Jay too-! " Jason had never been this awkward in his life but then again he was meeting a new cousin and a cousin he hadnt seen in a while.
Jane stood there for a minute frozen at the overwhelming greeting trying to process it "Yes. I am Jane-! Uh- It is nice to meet you-" she said awkwardly as she hadnt really met new people in a while.
They all stood there for a minute greeting eachother before Jason took the twins to give a tour and show them where they would stay.
Jason led the both to a spare bedroom with two beds on either side and a bathroom in the room. As Will and Jane set their things down Jason left them to talk with his mom who called him down,
"Jay is very nice." Jane said while she was making her bed
"He is...." Will paused while putting up clothes "Are you excited for your first day of actual school-?"
"Mhm-! I am very excited from what you had taught me math seems very fun-! English seems very hard I do not understand it."
Will gives a soft smile as they finished unpacking "it is very hard but you'll get the hang of it i know it cause your really smart-!"
Jane gives Will a hug before they walk down to say bye to their mom.
Jane and Will said their byes to their mother and Jonathan as they left then went to their rooms and went to bed to get enough sleep for their first day.
~♡ Before Breakfast ♡~
The three are eating breakfast when- "If anyone bothers you two, tell me you got it?" Jason said while grabbing his bag as the twins put up their food. Jane looked over to Will as they both nod and promise Jason, that if anyone bothers them Jason will know.
Will hops on his bike with Jane riding on the back as Jason walks along with them.
When they get to the school Jane and Will walk over to the party who are surprised to see the two here and not in California with Joyce and Jonathan. "Will? El? I thought you two would be in Cali with Jonathan and Joyce?!" Mike asked walking over to them
"Its Jane." Will says defensively as Jane nods "And we are staying with our mom's friend" She says proudly
The bell rings cutting the moment short as Will and Jane walk off to find their classes. Their first class is English together. The day goes well and so do the next until its already a week later.
Will sat down at his table in art when a really handsome guy sits down friend of Jay's hes seen around sits down next to him
"Oh-! Will Byers was it? You know me right?" He says
"Oh..Chance? Chance Lawson? Jay's friend?" Will asks amused at Chance's excitedness
"Mhm-!"
The rest of the hour went well even with Chance's constant remarks succeding with making Will laugh.
Meanwhile with Jane ;
She was in Math when a really cute girl sat next to her "Im Jennifer Hayes-! But Jenni for short. Whats your name?" Jenni asked Jane
"Oh-! Uh my name is Jane Byers-!"
"Nice to meet you Jane-! Say is your brother Will Byers?"
"Yes-! He is very nice."
"Yeah-! I used to know him I always wanted to be his friend but his guard dog" Jenni rolls her eyes "Mike Wheeler was always there"
"Mike is my boyfriend...what is so wrong with him?"
"Oh you poor thing. You need to find someone better he is always so rude to everyone"
"...yes, yes he is very rude-"
"Hey-! What if i help you break up with him?"
Jane looks up "Yes-! I do not think he loves me"
"Could you sit at my table during lunch?"
Jane nods her head before asking "Can Will be there too?"
"Of course-!" Jenni responds excitedly while clapping her hands together before getting scolded by the teacher as the hour passes its time for lunch.
