NCIT's new "Strategic Excellence Initiative" is a fancy way of saying they're gutting everything students actually care about to build a donor lounge.
Mark is a well-liked editor for The Margins and is running on spite, cold coffee, and a close-reading assignment that was due three days ago. Donghyuck plays hockey in a training room held together with tape. They're not supposed to make sense together – until a house party joke and a tipsy dare turn them into NCIT's least expected power couple. Arts and athletics, united at last.
The attention is exactly what the anti-SEI coalition needs. The problem is that, as the coalition grows, Mark and Donghyuck are running out of ways to pretend this is still fake.
Oh, and Donghyuck has been living a lie – the campus knows him as hockey's biggest menace, who allegedly hooked up with two people in one night at some party freshman year. But no one really knows who Lee Donghyuck is behind closed doors.
