Work Text:
Romeo finds Morrigan in the woods. Their responsibilities over for the day, they sit together, under a tree in the fading light. Morrigan’s beautiful like this, dark-haired and laughing. They have built an understanding, based on what they have recognised in each other.
They’re just two girls, here. Two girls with burdens to bear and mothers they fear, but two girls nonetheless. They whisper secrets and promises in the dark, and they murmur sly jokes to each other, giggling like children. It is a kind of closeness Romeo has never had to anyone ever before. With Morrigan, she knows hope.
