   Summary

   Jax always wanted something different. He never liked the idea of being a prince, preferring to explore shipwrecks with his best friend, Ribbit, and collecting treasures from each one. But his life changes forever when he rescues a surface princess named Pomni from a catastrophic shipwreck. Haunted by her memory and desperate to escape his royal cage, Jax strikes a perilous bargain with the abyssal Ringmaster, Caine. To walk on land and win Pomni's heart, he must sacrifice his voice and endure a painful metamorphosis. Now, with only three sunsets to earn the princess's love before the sea claims him for good, Jax faces a dangerous new world where he is silenced, stranded, and running out of time.
