“Sixx,” Lila laid back on her bunk, legs pulled up and head flat on the pillow. Her red and brown braids were splayed all across it, circling her dark brown skin like a multicoloured halo. It was just the two of them in the cabin, despite it having room for 4.
Sixx sat up on their own bed, and climbed down to be on the lower one, as Lila was, “Yeah?”
“She’s just so-“
Sixx sighed, “Seriously Lila? You’ve spoken to her like- once!”
The girl just smiled dreamily, “And once was enough.”
Sixx flipped his twin white plaits behind his head, and placed a pale hand on Lila’s shoulder, “You need help.” They deadpanned.
Lila smirked, “Ugh it’s just. I can’t stop thinking about her!! Even the idea of talking to her gives me butterflies.”
“You’re such a weirdo,” Sixx responded, but her voice was warm.
Lila scoffed, then turned chirpy, “Maybe I’ll ask if I can help serve dinner tonight!”
“And why would you do that?”
“Because she does…”
Sixx shoved her shoulder gently, “I’m not serving. You better give me double!”
Lila shoved him back, and before long the pair were wrestling on the floor, playful giggles echoing around the room.
Eventually, the pair were both struggling for air, so they sat up, Sixx resting their head on Lila’s shoulder, “Seriously though. If you like her, talk to her. Just don’t forget about me.”
Lila smiled at her, “I never could. Not for all the pretty blondes in the world.”
