Bumblebee and Optimus had a large gap in their creation periods, bots knew that Optimus was older then Bee.
Yet they honestly couldn’t imagine an Optimus without his little gold bug trailing after him.
If Bumblebee was in the break room on the ARK chatting away with another Bot, you were almost guarantied to see Optimus somewhere in the room as-well, if not watching Bumblebee them making polite chatter with another bot in the room.
If Optimus was by the main computer going through reports to plan the next mission, you were almost guaranteed to see Bumblebee sitting on the edge of the desk swinging his peds back and forth while chatting Optimuses audials off.
Even in battle.
Bumblebee forever staying in Optimuses blind spots from his larger frame unless the plan demanded him elsewhere to cover him, in case of an attack that would dare harm his leader.
Optimus forever keeping an optic on the mini-bot Bumblebee and his scratches to make sure he never took a hit too hard that could damage his weak plating as a scout.
As for med bay.
Should Bumblebee be injured to the point of extended stay the Prime would often be seen going in and out, providing guidance to the autobots before returning to the recovery rooms.
Little knickknacks and sweet energon in his servos every time he went.
Should Optimus be unfortunately injured to the point of extended stay, then Bumblebee wouldn’t bee seen anywhere else on the ARK but by the Primes bed side, if not in the bed alongside him despite being functional.
Arms waving as he would speak and digits poking the leader.
