Hotel Blues

Summary:

WORK IN PROGRESS—UPDATES ARE RANDOM!!

- - -

When yet another guest (or player, same thing) reaches The Hotel, the entities prepare themselves for their next meal.
Guiding Light leads the guest down the abandoned halls with care as every entity strikes at any chance that presents itself.

Within the dark, Screech shrieks, while blinding guests with purple UV light, Eyes stares. Dupe, like any other entity, is competitive about the minimal food he ends up hunting down since an insufficient amount of guests will actually fall for his fake doors nowadays.

As stakes rise and countless entities of The Hotel are beginning to grow more hostile with the guest numbers plummeting like dying embers, Dupe discovers his options are becoming narrower, and quickly...

Chapter 1: The Beginning of Yet Another Day

Chapter Text

Dupe's POV (Current day events in The Hotel)

[As with all my stories, none of this writing is final and it is subject to change frequently!]

The rain outside the old windows The Hotel pattered against the glass like it was actively insisting it was the main character despite twenty-one other entities being present throughout the deserted, vintage building. The Hotel reception room had the odor of rotting corpses drifting through it, as typical, which normally would've sounded concerning, but not in a place like this. It was a morning like every other, as cliché as it sounded, with entities awaking and practicing their signature hunting techniques. Rush was darting around like a fucking rabid raccoon while screaming things that sounded awfully similar to 'THE FOG IS COMING'.

Ambush trailed close behind, her bright green and hot pink fire trail above her head flaring every time she ran faster, "LET'S GO BROOOO-"

Seek was testing new forms, shifting between the shapes of large carnivores like wolves and drakes (wingless dragon) while trying to hold his goo steady enough to take hits. You never know when someone decides they thought Seek was pathetic and weak. Figure was maneuvering throughout The Hotel's check-in room, long arms trailing along the walls alongside his claws leaving light marks in the timeless walls. Jack, as the psycho he was, was inclined against the wall, drinking a considerably sized bottle of wine while spectating. The shadows from his neck blurred with the faint light from the fluorescents above as his pitch black eye tracked Rush's form zip back and forth. Screech was using his claws to play Tic-Tac-Toe with himself on the wood floor.
