   Summary

   Empathy is not a trait to have when you're a rebel. Avery can't seem to get this through her head as the words, simple as can be, go in one ear and trickle out the other, leaving a hint of guilt for forgetting them. She's apart of a small group of friends with the goal of overthrowing the queen, despite that not being what she wants, because she couldn't care less now that the previous ruler is dead. But what happens when she finally meets the queen for herself?
