So sorry this update took so long, but I needed to research how fifteenth century lute players learned their craft but I broke all my fingers and it hurt to spend too much time scrolling so this got pushed back.

But hey those four lines of backstory are a LOT more accurate now. I know you appreciate when I get these things right, so I hope you guys don’t mind the delay too much!

Hi everyone, I know I promised to get this series off the ground faster, but I’ve been more busy with school than I thought I would be. We had a major competition I needed to win, and I’ve recently started using the second half of my quirk because some asshole at my school made some good points. Turns out not living up to your full potential just to spite your dad is disservicing yourself… I keep setting myself on fire, though.

I’m not going to lie guys, this is 100% a vent fic. I’ve been going through a tough time lately and I just needed to put a couple of characters through the wringer. I hope you enjoy this, but it gets dark at times, so please take care of yourselves.

Two days late on the update, sorry guys. Something came up in my internship, and I had to help a friend get revenge on the asshole who paralyzed his brother from the waist down. I’m also heading into final exams, so I can’t promise I’ll get an update out before the semester ends.

Anyway, hopefully this is enough to tide you over.

My update schedule is all messed up, guys, I’m sorry. I know I promised to update more during summer break but there was an incident at my summer camp where my friend got kidnapped by villains and I spent about a week in the hospital and then I had to stage a rescue mission. Slowly working through the concussion.

I apologize for any typos, I can’t focus long enough to fix them. Anyway, I’m not going to promise a stable schedule until villains stop trying to kill me, but I do have a lot of free time since I’m on house arrest right now, so you may get some bonus chapters. Keep an eye out on your emails if you want to know when I post!

I promise I’m working on the updates for Her Secret Love Child but I needed to write out some feelings so I figured I’d do some character studies. I’ve been feeling…a bit like a failure lately. I underestimated a friend during our final exams and it almost caused us to fail. And then I did fail taking a provisional licensing exam.

I know the point of going to school is to get better, but I’m not sure I’m getting better fast enough.

This fic is different to most of my stuff but I still hope you enjoy it. And if you look closely, you may find the HSLC easter egg I put in there.

Sorry for going missing for a while, guys! I got shot and permanently lost my quirk, and I also lost my mentor in the same accident, and my friend went to the hospital, but I'm okay! I'm looking forward to getting to update this fic more while I recover!
