Summary
In the Galar region, approximately two decades after Eternatus was captured and sealed away by an unlikely hero, energy issues have progressed much faster than anticipated. The once world renowned Galar League has declined after the local phenomena of dynamaxing suddenly stopped manifesting several years ago. Government, corporations, and common people struggle, desperately clinging to the status quo even as resources dwindle and tensions rise.
Riley lives an isolated and quiet life in Galar's rural south, minimizing contact with anyone until a chance encounter with an injured Pokemon becomes the catalyst for changes no one could have foreseen.
