   Summary

   Milo Brunson has gone great lengths to make himself completely unmemorable. You have to, in a wild world like this—alien, familiar, growing deeper, blowing colder, built on bones, and still damp with blood. Violence is doled out as casually as a “good morning”—it’s beyond rational to hide from the monsters lurking everywhere.

   But he’s really, really getting tired of it.
