    “Thanks,” Caroline said, glancing once at the guy still trying to peel himself off the tree roots. “He, um… tripped. …Into the tree. You know how it is around here.”

    “Mm-hmm.”

    She continued down the sidewalk, already sorting the next block’s mail in her head.

    Behind her, she heard Caroline mutter an apology to the man, followed by the sound of him being helped up (or possibly thrown again).

    Yona didn’t look back.

    It was none of her business.

    Yona died before she could reclaim the thrown. Instead, she found herself reincarnated into a strange world. Ignoring the occasional body flying through the air, she continues on with her main life goal: to be a good mailwoman.
