Patience blinks, following him as he leads them out of the bar. “Seriously?”
“Yeah, and we don’t have to pay.”
Even better, though – “What’s the catch?”
“Yeah, uh, about that.” He rubs the back of his neck, suddenly looking nervous. “Do you remember that one time you were stuck planetside in Sector 2?”
Patience can remember vividly – they still have a copy of the holo they’d made. “Are you serious?”
“Yeah! The person that they were supposed to work with no-showed and they’re desperate. I said that there were two of us, they said it’s fine, they can take us as far as Sector 5..."
