The whistleblower didn't specify the nature of the complaint, only that there were “serious safety and research concerns regarding what experiments Dr. Grace Ashpole has been performing in her lab”, as well as something about a supposed “lab accident” that had seen them hospitalized for three days (though the medical records attached had been vague – something about exhaustion and dehydration, signs of heatstroke).
Probably nothing, Kate thought. Another routine inspection that won't turn up anything of note.
Alas that this time it turns out to be something.
