Earth on the horizon

Summary:

It is beautiful.

"It is earth..."

About earth, milkshakes and sodas.

I've seen supergirl (movie 2026) like 17 hours ago.
I love it so much

Work Text:

"So, what's it like on earth?"

The question made Kara pause for a bit. Ruthye has never been on earth before; the curiosity was to be expected. Her eyes were scanning for the green-and-blue planet past Jupiter.

"Well..."

She was looking up at her with expectant eyes.

"It's... loud. The people seem to all have a rhythm and... Some of them don't like 'aliens', that's why I have to wear the suit... to show them I'm good."

"That is not fair, like at all."

Ruthye put her hand to her chin and looked at the mechanical equipment Kara was using to control the spaceship as she seemed to think of something, before she perked up with her finger pointing up. The action made her think of her nephew.

"What if you point out the difference between you and human villains— they surely have those, right?"

"It won't work, trust me."

That made the room almost completely silent, other than the snoring of Krypto and the buzzing of electrical wiring.

"...But earth also has its good points." Kara starts with clearing her throat. "People can be kind towards eachother, bring out the good in others, the planet looks pretty cool, and their milkshakes and sodas are recommended."

"What are sodas and milkshakes?"

The view of earth on the horizon made her pull the leverage to speed up their journey to that planet.

"Like some sort of drinks." It made Ruthye furrow. "Don't worry— it's not alcoholic. You can try it too."

"I'll keep you to your word then, Kara."

"Alright, but grab onto something. We're approaching earth."

Kara turned her gaze back to the route that she has traveled many times before and pushes the leverage to speed up their trip.

She nods and decides to hold onto the pillar next to her. Her eyes lead her to look at the window and see where they're heading to.

The way the light of the sun hit the oceans on earth made Ruthye stunned. The brilliant green and the lights of both poles could be seen from space. It made her jaw drop in awe.

It is beautiful.

"It is earth..."
