Chapter Text
It was never a good sign for Kusuo if his brother Kusuke suddenly came for a “surprise visit” on a random Saturday afternoon. It was never that simple. Why didn’t he see something like this coming? He should’ve seen it coming…
The visit had started off typical. Except for one thing… Kusuke hadn’t proposed a single competition between himself and Kusuo. That was enough to tell Kusuo to be on alert. But even Kusuo didn’t expect his brother to try something while he was asleep, much less something so drastic.
Saiki laid completely limp on the random rooftop he had been stranded on as he tried to think of a way to fix this. His left limiter was nowhere to be found, and there was a piece of paper in his pocket. Saiki carefully grabbed the paper, trying his best to not accidentally break something. He held it up to read it, already knowing who put it in his pocket to begin with.
Hey there Kusuo!! I’m sure by the time you’re reading this you already got to your destination. Anyway, welcome to your new dimension for the unforeseeable future! I invented a device that can cause a person to travel through dimensions, and I knew exactly what to do as soon as I knew it worked! This will be our newest competition! If you can find your way back home in less than six months, then you win, but if I have to come pick you up and bring you back, I win! Have fun, baby brother! Oh, and your limiter is in your pocket on your shirt. Had to take it temporarily out for my device to work.
(P.s: this dimension has superpowers for every person called a quirk! There are also heros and villains. Neat, right?)
-Love, Kusuke
Yare yare.. Kusuo thought to himself, carefully getting his limiter out his pocket and placing it back in. This would be a long couple of weeks. He sat up, now taking in his surroundings properly.
The city was much more technologically advanced compared to back home, he noticed that almost instantly. Good grief, what was the year? He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose before standing up. A thought came to his mind. He had no shelter, no money, and no food here. This would be more of a hassle than he thought…
Crossing his eyes, he scanned the buildings in the city using clairvoyance until he found an empty building that closed down recently and likely wouldn’t have anyone looking around in it for a good amount of time. He could shelter there for the time being until he figured out something better, or how to use his powers to get home. He uncrossed his eyes and teleported over.
It was an old corner store that just a week ago cleared out all stock and shut down. The walls were discolored and worn down, and the smell was awful. No wonder it shut down, but it’ll have to do.
Kusuo went and sat down behind the old register, knowing he’d want to stay out of sight. The last thing he ever wanted was to draw attention to himself. No matter the scenario, that never changed about him. Suddenly, now that he was sitting and his adrenaline had faded slightly, he grew ever tired, despite just having woken up a few minutes ago. The switch between worlds likely drained him. He leaned against the wall, letting sleep take his body once more. Couldn’t hurt him any to get some extra rest. It’s not like someone will come and disturb his peace by finding him in a place as isolated as this, right?…
…who was he kidding, god hated him.
