Chapter Text
"My name is Kara Zor-El. I'm from Krypton. And I'm a refugee on this planet. I was sent to Earth to protect my cousin, Kal-El. But my pod got knocked off course and by the time I arrived, my cousin had grown up and he had become…Superman.
For years, I hid who I was until one day, an accident forced me to reveal myself to the world. To most people, I'm a reporter at CatCo Worldwide Media. In secret, I work with my sister for the D.E.O. But recently, the barriers to the multiverse had been shattered by a being named Thanos and while new enemies have arrived in my universe, but so have new allies.
And it has been my promise to protect my city from those who wish to cause harm to others. I am Supergirl."
Earth-38: National City
It had been a week since Kara's incident with the Decepticon seeker known as Slipstream. As Kara returned to her apartment from CatCo, her thoughts ran back to when she first reported the incident to her sist er Alex and J'onn J'onzz.
She remembered how the conversation went when it came to remembering the symbol the giant robot had on her jet wings.
Earlier…
"That's what it looked like." Kara recalled saying to J'onn J'onzz as the holographic table displayed a purple symbol with a beak and two dashes underneath and one as a sort of crown on top.
"I can't say I've seen that before." J'onn said as he appeared confused over the symbol.
"Neither have I." Alex said as she was joined by her lover Astra.
"I don't recall any symbol as this." Astra said.
The following members of the DEO such as Braniac-5, Winn and Lucy Lane gathered around as well as they stared at the symbol.
"I looked at every database for every organization or even ancient symbols." Said Winn with a shrug. "I got nothing, sorry."
"Nothing in the 31st century has anything similar I'm afraid." Said Braniac-5. "This symbol is a complete enigma."
"As is the fact you mentioned this…being who transformed from a jet to a robotic being." He added.
"Is there anything else you do know?" J'onn asked Kara.
"The only thing I do know is I caught her talking to someone named Megatron." Replied Kara.
"Megatron?" J'onn repeated the name in confusion.
"Well, that's a name that screams obvious villain." Winn remarked.
"I can't say I know this Megatron." Said Astra with uncertainty.
"Neither can I." Braniac-5 concurred.
"Safe to say, none of us know." J'onn remarked.
"So, we have nothing to go on?" Lucy asked.
"Best we can do is keep an eye out if that thing strikes again." Alex said.
"If anything comes up, call us." J'onn said to Kara with some concern in his voice.
"Please do, Kara." Alex said to Kara, who sounded concerned most of all.
Now…
Kara sighed. She did not want anyone to worry about her ever since that incident. Not helped her powers were still in a flux. Something she was forever annoyed by. With a sigh, she looked at her wristwatch that Braniac-5 had invented that monitored her powers if they were working today or not thanks to the golden kryptonite putting them in a flux. She was thankful it was green today but for how long, she was worried it could go on for a few more months than theorized.
She face palmed in frustration as she sat on the couch. Not helped it seemed to be a slow day today. That and it was Sunday.
However, upon sitting on the couch; a bright light emitted from above. Confused, Kara looked up to see much to her shock, a brightly lit blue portal had materialized in the ceiling.
"What the…?" Kara breathed in shock and awe.
Suddenly, out of the portal came an incoming object just as dematerialized as it was a rather a person who fell out of the portal and slammed onto the table-breaking it entirely, upon hitting it facing down.
Kara sat on her couch, her mouth gaping open in shock at the sight that had just transpired right in front of her. She then stood up and examined who came out of the portal. To Kara's surprise, the outfit even from the back seemed familiar. A red cape, red skirt and red boots.
"I swear if this is the drunken party girl me again…" Kara groaned out loud.
Then she was startled by the sound of her variant groaning as she began to lift herself up a bit and then turned over to her back where Kara got a better look of her variant's appearance.
She had blonde hair but was done in a messy bob cut hairstyle with the bangs on the right covering her right eye. Earth-38 Kara could immediately tell this variant was a young teenage girl but was amazed to see she had a muscular build and of course, she wore the costume and all.
"Wow, that…hit me like a truck somehow!" The variant exclaimed as she jumped back on her feet.
"Are you okay?" Earth-38 Kara asked the variant out of concern as she stood up.
"Yeah, what of it?" Her variant replied in a grumpy manner.
"Just asking." Earth-38 Kara said as she felt a bit put off by the grumpy attitude already.
"The heck am I, anyway?" The Kara variant asked in confusion as she looked around her surroundings-not even facing the Earth-38 Kara. "This is seriously another one of those multiverse deals, isn't it?"
"Well… y-yes." The Earth-38 Kara replied as she stammered a bit.
Finally, the Kara variant turned around to see the Earth-38 Kara and eyed her from head to toe as she noticed she wore a pink sweater with a turtleneck collar, green poodle skirt and simple white flats. The Kara variant stared at her in bewilderment and put off already by her appearance.
"Who are you?" The Kara variant asked.
"Well, um, I'm you." Earth-38 Kara replied. "My name is Kara Danvers. Or actually, Kara Zor-El."
The Kara variant immediately laughed like silly in total disbelief. She laughed so hard that she fell backwards on the couch to the point of tears pouring from her eyes.
"What's so funny?" Earth-38 Kara asked out of confusion.
"Like…" The Kara variant began to reply as she wiped a tear from her eye after laughing so much. "You. You're me? In that outfit?"
"What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Earth-38 Kara asked, feeling offended by the remark.
"You look like such a dork!" The Kara variant exclaimed as she continued to laugh. "Like the pink sweater, the glasses; let me guess, you were so bent on having a perfect attendance record."
"You look like my cousin, man!" She added.
"I do not!" Earth-38 Kara retorted in offense. "I'll have you know, I didn't exactly have the most positive high school experience."
"Suuure, princess." The Kara variant sarcastically remarked. "Seriously, did you get like Straight A's all the time or something?"
"Yes. I mean no!" Earth-38 Kara shook her head. "Okay, hang on, we're getting off track here!"
"What exactly happened to you?" Earth-38 Kara then asked her variant.
The Kara variant sighed as she began to think back to what had happened. She had brief flashes in her head of being in some kind of metallic fortress she had stumbled onto and tubes that were glowing for some reason. Followed by a moment of being punched in the face by a giant fist.
Suddenly, she remembered some kind of weapon being fired at her and while it appeared they missed, they were opening a portal and the Kara variant was sucked in. Especially after she was punched again and flew straight into the portal.
The Earth-38 Kara noticed the variant scratching her head and grew concerned.
"What is it?" She asked the variant. "What do you remember?"
"Trying to remember since going into that portal." The variant replied. "But I think I can think of whatever."
"Whatever?" The Earth-38 Kara variant inquired.
"Look I don't remember every single detail but I remember what happened!" The variant grumpily replied before she simply said, "Basically."
The variant's eyes darted back and forth for a moment out of uncertainty.
"What do you mean basically?" Earth-38 Kara asked.
"Just basically, okay?" Snapped the variant.
"I'm just asking!" The Earth-38 Kara retorted, feeling put off again.
"Alright, I remember I had an extremely bad day in my universe." The variant began to recall. "Had to deal with annoying criminals like mugger type dudes who wouldn't stop comparing me to my cousin, sat down on gum, pop quiz at school…"
"Anything else?" The Earth-38 Kara asked as she sounded a bit impatient.
"Okay, okay!" The variant conceded. "Then there's the fact that weird things were going on like the water fountains had some brown gunk."
"Brown gunk?" The Earth-38 Kara inquired in confusion.
"That's what I said." The Kara variant replied before she continued as she counted her fingers while listing off over occurrences. "Then there's gas, and I'm talking like that methane stuff. Loud noises. Then the lights started to dim…"
Suddenly, as if right on cue; the lights in the apartment of Earth-38 Kara began to dim rapidly before the lights returned to normal.
The Kara variant's eyes looked up in surprise whilst the Earth-38 Kara reacted in shock as she looked back and forth.
"How did you know that was going to happen?" The Earth-38 Kara asked her variant.
"Sure, I totally predicted the lights were going to go out for a moment as soon as I said it happened in my universe." The Kara variant sarcastically remarked.
"I was just asking!" Earth-38 Kara cried out, completely offended by her variant's rude and sarcastic attitude.
"Although now I wonder!" She then said as she raced over to the kitchen sink.
All the while the Kara variant saw on one of the tables a picture of the Earth-38 Kara with her adopted sister Alex and her adopted mother Eliza Danvers in a photograph with the smiling at a Christmas party when the two sisters were younger. The Kara variant gave a soft smile in spite of her abrasive attitude.
"Oh my god!" The variant heard the Earth-38 counterpart cry out.
Alarmed, she raced over to the kitchen and saw the Earth-38 Kara standing in shocker over the sink water dispensing brown colored water. But not before she noticed briefly the variant had looked at a family photo.
"Oh yeah, that's how it starts." The variant remarked.
The Earth-38 Kara then looked at her wristwatch that still glowed green, signifying she still had her powers for now.
"You mentioned hearing a noise, right?" The Earth-38 Kara asked the variant.
"Yeah. So?" The Kara variant replied as she shrugged.
Absent mindedly using her superspeed, the Earth-38 Kara variant opened the window and immediately was greeted by a high-pitched sound; loud enough to have her grit her teeth in pain.
"Oh yeah, that's there!" The Kara variant covered her ears.
The Earth-38 Kara slammed the window shut and breathed a sigh of relief.
"So, you weren't kidding about the noise?" She said to the variant.
"Uh, doy!" The variant replied in a sardonic manner.
The Earth-38 Kara rolled her eyes in response and grabbed her phone and dialed her sister's phone number.
"Let me guess," She heard her sister respond immediately. "You heard a loud noise and the lights dimmed."
Earth-38 Kara blinked as she was shocked to hear what Alex asked.
"How did you know?" She asked Alex in astonishment.
"Everyone at the DEO has been experiencing it." Alex replied. "More like everyone has been hearing the noise, their electricity either dimming or going out completely and nobody can pinpoint where the noise is coming from."
"It's even messing with the computers and frequencies." She added. "Brainy can't even trace the signal."
"Well, I have this problem and another problem." Earth-38 Kara said. "Another me literally dropped by."
"Oh god, is it the drunken party girl you again?" Asked an alarmed Alex.
Before Earth-38 Kara could respond, she was startled by the sound of glass breaking as she yelped. She turned to see her window broken and her jaw dropped in shock but also of part annoyance as she discovered the variant to be far more impulsive than she realized.
"Kara?" Alex asked. "Kara, what just happened?"
"Uh… no, but this variant is far more reckless!" Earth-38 Kara said before she hung up and threw off her sweater to reveal her trademark costume underneath.
In the sky already, the Supergirl variant was already high in the sky and fully determined to find the source of the noise. Suddenly, she noticed that the Earth-38 Kara, now Supergirl, was flying beside her.
The Supergirl variant eyed on the Earth-38 counterpart's costume and shrugged.
"Not bad." She shrugged. "Better than the pink sweater."
"Oh, come on!" The Earth-38 Supergirl groaned. "And what are you even thinking going off like that?"
"Like what?" The Supergirl variant asked.
The Earth-38 Supergirl stammered in response; baffled by the small remark.
"Do you even know where the noise is coming from?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked the variant.
Immediately, the variant halted in mid-air with the Earth-38 Supergirl halting as well as she crossed her arms like a schoolteacher, waiting for an answer from her student.
The Supergirl variant floated around in mid-air as she scratched her head in confusion.
"Uh…" The Supergirl variant could only mutter.
While the Earth-38 Supergirl awaited the actual answer she was expecting from her counterpart as she motioned her to speak.
"Okay, I kind of don't know where I'm going." The Supergirl variant admitted as she shrugged her shoulders.
"Oh, do you?!" The Earth-38 Supergirl snapped in sarcasm.
"Hey, don't you go 'I told you so' at me!" The Supergirl variant snapped back in anger.
"You broke through the window!" The Earth-38 Supergirl retorted. "And we didn't even discuss what kind of plan but no, you had to jump in without even thinking."
"Oh my god, I'm dealing with a super powered Plastic." She added in realization.
"And what is that supposed to mean?" The Supergirl variant angrily asked, already feeling insulted.
"You're not exactly giving me a good impression." The Earth-38 Supergirl said.
In response as the Earth-38 Supergirl spoke to her, the variant made a "blah, blah, blah" hand gesture.
"Oh, real mature." The Earth-38 Supergirl rolled her eyes at the variant's attempt at mocking her.
"Duh." The variant rolled her eyes. "I'm still a teenager."
"Even so!" The Earth-38 Supergirl retorted.
"Nice comeback, princess!" The variant snorted in sarcasm.
"Princess?" The Earth-38 Supergirl inquired in confusion. "Excuse me?"
"Come on, you totally act like a pampered princess." The variant said.
"I do not act like a princess-okay, we're getting off track again!" The Earth-38 Supergirl shook her head. "What we need to do is pinpoint where the noise could be coming from."
"And where is that, genius?" The variant asked in a snippy manner.
The Earth-38 Supergirl glared at the variant for a moment and closed her eyes and concentrated as she attempted to tune in listening to the noise.
The variant meanwhile, grew impatient. Even to the point of waving her right hand in front of Earth-38 Supergirl's face.
Earth-38 Supergirl was only mildly irritated but kept her composure regardless. Finally, she snapped her eyes open.
"So…" The Supergirl variant awkwardly started.
"I think I know where the noise is coming from!" Said the Earth-38 Supergirl before she flew away fast in the east.
Even the Supergirl variant began to follow as well.
"Alright, so where is this noise thingy?" The variant asked her Earth-38 counterpart.
"It's somewhere a few miles down." Replied the Earth-38 Supergirl.
With that, the variant sped up her flying with the Earth-38 Supergirl attempting to catch up much to her chagrin.
"Can I ask what's your problem with me?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked the variant. "Or just in general?"
"Besides acting like a princess?" The variant snarked at Earth-38 Supergirl.
"I'm serious!" The Earth-38 Supergirl exclaimed.
"Look, I have my way doing things." The variant replied. "Just don't need a princess telling me what to do."
"I'm sorry, you're still calling me a princess?" Earth-38 Supergirl inquired in confusion.
"Please, besides the dorky clothes, you're already proving to be a fun sucker." The variant replied.
"I am not a fun sucker!" Earth-38 Supergirl retorted, offended by the insinuation. "I'm trying to think of a plan and prevent you from doing something reckless!"
"Like I said, princess and a fun sucker!" The variant retorted as she flew past her Earth-38 counterpart.
"She is so worse than the party girl!" The Earth-38 Supergirl groaned as she flew after the variant.
"Well, you still don't know exactly where the noise is coming from." Earth-38 Supergirl said to the variant. "So, I suggest you stop being so thick headed and follow me before you embarrass yourself!"
In response, the Supergirl variant blew her bangs as she grumbled, "Fine."
After a much intense moment of flying for a moment, the two Supergirls finally reached their destination when the Earth-38 Supergirl slowed down her flying.
They had reached a forest area miles away from National City, complete with a lake. The forest appeared serene and peaceful. Save for one aspect; for attached to the lake was a series of tubes connected to a large metal warehouse that resembled more of a fortress with its own series of tubes connected to the ground and glowed purple.
The Earth-38 Supergirl stared at the fortress in shock and awe. How this fortress was built without anyone knowing was beyond her. While the Supergirl variant stared at the fortress with equal shock.
"Whoa!" The variant breathed in shock and amazement.
The Earth-38 Supergirl nodded in agreement.
"I actually forgot the tube thingies glowed." The Supergirl variant remarked simply.
In response, the Earth-38 Supergirl blinked in confusion; completely perplexed at what she heard the variant uttered.
"I'm sorry, you somehow forgot about giant tubes that glowed purple?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked in an incredulous manner as she faced the variant.
The variant could only shrug in response.
As the Earth-38 Supergirl turned around, she noticed a familiar symbol on top of the fortress and on the right side.
She flew down for a closer look with the variant following. The Earth-38 Supergirl had a look of concern as there was something about the symbol that was familiar to her. As she flew down for a closer look, to her shock, it was the same purple colored beak-like symbol she had seen before on the previous opponent she had fought.
"No way…" The Earth-38 Supergirl mouthed in shock.
"No way, what?" The variant asked.
"Do you remember seeing this symbol?" Earth-38 Supergirl asked the variant.
To which the variant shrugged in response as she replied, "Dunno."
"What?" Earth-38 Supergirl cried out in disbelief. "How do you not remember this symbol?!"
"Dude, I don't remember every bad guy I fight!" The Supergirl variant said. "They all look the same to me!"
"Even giant robots?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked.
"I mean, I remember a big fist punching me." The Supergirl variant said.
Earth-38 Supergirl rolled her eyes in response as she made the sound of "ugh!" That signified her frustration as she began to walk around the fortress.
"What?" The Supergirl variant asked in confusion as she followed along.
"What are you even looking for anyway?" The variant then asked her counterpart.
"An entrance." Replied the Earth-38 Supergirl. "Someplace where we can simply sneak in or even a ventilation shaft."
The Supergirl variant rolled her eyes as she then bluntly fired her heat beam eyes to create a human sized hole for them to go through. The Earth-38 Supergirl's eyes widen in shock as she heard the sound of laser eyes and followed by the sound of a thud. She turned around to see the Supergirl variant standing triumphantly with a smirk on her face as she created a human sized hole that served as an entrance to the fortress. The Earth-38 Supergirl stared at the sight of it all completely baffled what the variant had done.
"What?" The variant asked.
"The plan was to sneak in!" The Earth-38 Supergirl hissed as she gritted her teeth.
"Dude, this is just easier this way." The variant Supergirl protested. "Besides, who's gonna notice?"
In response, the Earth-38 Supergirl sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose before she went inside the hole and into the fortress.
The Supergirl variant rolled her eyes in response, to her, it seemed the Earth-38 Supergirl acted ungrateful.
Upon going inside, the two Supergirls were shocked and surprised to witness what appeared to be rows of thousands and thousands of hard drives across the interior that to the Supergirl variant, it may as well had been a maze. The hard drives themselves appearance wise looked like they were tough as bricks and looked like monoliths with blinking lights.
"Okay, finding whoever is in charge to be tougher than I thought." The Earth-38 Supergirl said.
"For you? Maybe." The Supergirl variant said in an arrogant fashion. "Should be easy for me to find the doofus in charge!"
"We may need to take it slow though." The Earth-38 Supergirl calmly insisted in spite of her annoyance with the variant.
"Boring!" The Supergirl variant exclaimed as she flew and sped away to find the one in charge of the apparent fortress.
The Earth-38 Supergirl had wanted to say a rebuttal but the most she could do was sigh again and follow her in order to prevent her from being even more reckless.
The Supergirl variant looked left and right for the one in charge despite the seemingly endless rows of hard drives with even the Earth-38 Supergirl doing the same as she attempted to find whoever was in charge, even despite the loud humming from the hard drives. Finally, her super hearing finally settled on a distant voice she was hearing a few feet away.
Fearing the worst, the Earth-38 Supergirl grabbed the variant and covered her mouth despite her muffled protests and hid behind one of the hard drives.
"The heck is that for?!" The Supergirl variant angrily asked.
The Earth-38 Supergirl shushed the variant and motioned her to listen closely as the Two Supergirls peered from one of the hard drives as they watched from afar, a large robotic figure colored purple as he stood in front of a large computer screen-eyeing on what appeared to be data as the information scrolled up, the more data had come through.
"Fascinating…" He simply said.
A new window popped open on screen that displayed a message about Energon absorption. One that said that the amount of Energon absorbed was at fifty-nine percent.
"Good." The giant robot said. "The Energon absorption is progressing nicely."
"As I intended." He darkly added.
Suddenly, from the ceiling above him; a holographic display of his leader materialized in front of him.
"What do you have to report Shockwave?" The War Monger Megatron asked.
"Why's he called Shockwave?" The Supergirl variant asked.
In response, the Earth-38 Supergirl shushed the variant again.
"The Energon absorption is progressing as intended." Replied the War Monger variant of Shockwave. "Soon, the complete shipment of Energon will be sent to the Council as planned."
"And the information on this universe and its inhabitants is being sent forward as we speak." He added.
"Excellent!" Exclaimed the War Monger Megatron who was pleased at the results.
"The side effects are expected but of no importance, not like this planet will last long regardless." Shockwave added in a dark fashion.
The Earth-38 Supergirl and the variant gasped softly. Horrified that Shockwave would be so callous to be aware of the side effects and allow it to go on.
"Be warned, Shockwave." The War Monger Megatron gravely warned his loyal soldier. "This universe's heroes will notice."
"There is no need of concern, Lord Megatron." Said Shockwave. "I am quite aware of the likes of the local Kryptonians as well as their allies."
"For those who are more technologically advanced however, or use the most advanced technology by Earth standards," He added. "The additional capabilities of the data centers are designed to camouflage our presence and scramble every signal imaginable."
"And what of potential intruders?" Asked the War Monger Megatron.
"I have already devised ways to subdue certain enemies." Shockwave replied simply. "I assure you I did not come to this universe unprepared and I will be ready for either Kryptonian should they appear."
"Especially given the female Kryptonian Starscream had encountered, she cannot be too far when he sent her to this very universe." He added.
The Earth-38 Supergirl's eyes narrowed in thought. Too much to be a coincidence not to be the variant she encountered.
She glanced at the variant beside her with a curious look on her face.
"What?" The variant asked.
"Do you not recall you fought a giant robot?" The Earth-38 Supergirl whispered her question to the variant.
"Hey, giant robots look the same to me!" The variant protested. "I don't remember every single thing or name except when I get punched by a giant fist!"
"Make sure the Kryptonian is found!" The two Supergirls then heard the War Monger Megatron exclaim.
"The one prominent to this universe among others," Continued the War Monger variant. "Is bound to find you as well."
"She will be dealt with, Lord Megatron." Said Shockwave as he saluted with his regular right hand.
With a nod from the War Monger Megatron, the hologram dematerialized. With the Earth-38 Supergirl mouthing silently in realization, "Megatron" as she remembered that was the name of the one person mentioned when she tailed Slipstream.
"Do not assume I do not know you are here!" Exclaimed Shockwave as he had moved from the computer screen.
The two Supergirls widened their eyes in shock over the remark.
"Surrender and perhaps your actions won't be hard on all of us." Shockwave then said in a cold fashion.
"You know what?" The variant Supergirl said. "Secret's out, so let's kick his metal butt!"
"Kara, don't!" The Earth-38 Supergirl attempted to protest but the variant flew away immediately before she could say anything else.
Earth-38 Supergirl followed her counterpart-flying after her as well.
"We need to think of a plan!" Cried out the Earth-38 Supergirl.
"What plan?!" The Supergirl variant scoffed. "Let's just punch him and then I can go home!"
Shockwave then pressed one of the buttons on the keypad and suddenly, both Supergirls forcibly landed the ground and surrounded by a red beam of light that encased them, just as they were close to him. Soon, the duo were struggling to even stand up. Both of them were stuck to the floor and on their knees.
Soon, Shockwave turned around to reveal his appearance to them; he had only one glowing yellow eye and a laser pistol replacing his left hand.
"I can't get up!" The Supergirl variant cried out as she struggled to stand up.
"I can't either!" The Earth-38 Supergirl grunted before she looked up to see the Decepticon himself.
"What did you do?!" The Earth-38 Supergirl then demanded.
"I anticipated the arrival of so-called superheroes," Shockwave began to explain in a cold manner. "Especially ones of this universe given the Kryptonians, I had simply taken precautions and installed in this specific spot an anti-gravity platform. Especially one tailored to your abilities as Kryptonians."
"They're Kryptonite?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked the Decepticon in horror.
"Artificial red sunlight to be precise." Shockwave calmly and casually replied. "Far more consistently effective than the standard kryptonite."
"But even then, you made your presence known when one of you triggered a silent alarm." He added.
The Earth-38 Supergirl in response upon hearing his statement, glared at the Supergirl variant in a "I told you so" manner as if she wanted to say it out loud. The variant wished she could shrug if she were not struggling to get up.
With another press of a button on the keypad, a human sized cage ascended from the floor next to the Supergirls.
With that, Shockwave grabbed the two Supergirls and shoved them inside the cage and locked it with a simple remote with his right hand. The cage itself while it appeared normal, it was encased in a laser window that surrounded them. The Supergirl variant attempted to punch through it but was repelled back upon impact.
"You will still feel the after effects of the anti-gravity beams given how your powers were neutralized." Shockwave said coldly. "And by the time you feel your powers returning, you will have been already sent to a universe you cannot possibly escape from."
"One with more Kryptonite to destroy you both quickly I assume." He added. "Especially once I correct Starscream's mistake."
"What are you even planning?" Asked the Earth-38 Supergirl. "What is this place?"
"Considering I am within the cusp of victory, to put it bluntly, Kryptonian…" Began Shockwave. "This is a Decepticon data center. It is and many other data centers are of my creation. Designed to syphon energy from a specific universe to convert into energon and gather information about all its inhabitants."
"Dangerous side effects, yes." He added before he began to speak in a cold and dark manner of speaking. "But the environment of this universe is not of any concern for myself or other Decepticons."
Both Supergirl variants expressed shock and horror over the intent of the Decepticon data centers. What he had said immediately meant the end of her universe and even the variant's.
"I cannot allow you to do this!" Earth-38 Supergirl cried out. "You're killing innocent people!"
"My dear Kryptonian, organics die every day in every universe." Shockwave coldly said. "Who will miss them anyway?"
"And you cannot stop me." He added. "And do not bother appealing to what you call humanity; I am not a weak organic like yourself or normal humans."
Earth-38 Supergirl gasped in horror. The way Shockwave expressed casually at committing genocide and the destruction of the environment.
"You are so gonna get punched in the face, my guy." The Supergirl variant said as she pounded her right fist on her left hand.
"Idle threats, do not faze me, Kryptonian." Said Shockwave as he addressed the Supergirl variant. "Starscream had trouble with you but I have not."
Suddenly, a portal opened to reveal a red and white Decepticon seeker with blue hands to boot. The two Supergirls stared at him in surprise, while Shockwave merely turned around to face him casually.
"You better have not insulted me in front of the Kryptonians." The Decepticon seeker known as Starscream sneered in annoyance as he carried a weapon of some sort, one that resembled a large pistol he placed on the keypad.
"You did send one of the Kryptonian variants to this universe." Shockwave simply said.
"I was on a crunch time!" Starscream protested angrily. "You try dealing with an annoying Kryptonian pest who constantly insulted me while flying around at top speed!"
"Oh yeah, now I remember this clown." The Supergirl variant snarked.
Starscream turned to face the variant and his eyes narrowed in anger upon sight.
"YOU!" The Decepticon seeker screamed.
"Yeah, what was your name again?" The variant asked.
"Starscream, you uneducated twit!" Starscream shouted in annoyance. "My name is Starscream!"
"Dude, all these bad guy names just sound the same." The Supergirl remarked in a dry manner as she rolled her eyes.
Starscream made a noise of anger before Shockwave prevented him from doing anything rash by grabbing his arm.
"The Kryptonian is merely trying to enrage you on purpose." Shockwave said to the Decepticon seeker.
"Easy for you to say." Starscream snarked.
"It quite frankly was given they were foolish enough to face me." Said Shockwave.
"Oh, I hate how you sound so sure of yourself." Said Starscream in annoyance.
As the two Decepticons discussed or rather argued amongst each other, the Earth-38 Supergirl then went back to glaring at the variant, who could only express confusion. The two Supergirls were beginning to recover from the effects of the anti-gravity beam but only slowly but surely. The variant glanced at her Earth-38 counterpart who gave an angry glare as she crossed her arms.
"What?" The variant asked as she shrugged.
"Let's see, what was it you said again? Oh, right…" The Earth-38 Supergirl started before she repeated the variant's words in a mocking version of her voice, "'Dude, it's easier just to barge in! Nobody will notice!'"
The Earth-38 Supergirl threw up her arms in exasperation.
"I don't sound like that." The Supergirl variant retorted as she glared at her Earth-38 counterpart.
"Do you just have a problem or do you really like rushing into things without thinking of the consequences?!" She then asked the variant.
"Oh, here we go!" The variant Supergirl rolled her eyes. "A lecture from the prissy princess!"
"I am not a princess!" The Earth-38 Supergirl protested. "Stop calling me that!"
"You so are!" The Supergirl variant argued.
In response, the Supergirl variant balanced on her left foot and spread her arms as if she were figure skating.
"Tralalalalala!" She mockingly sang in an insulting manner. "'We should be quiet because I'm a perfect princess!' Tralalalalala!"
The Earth-38 Supergirl stared at the variant aghast and offended by the mockery on display.
"Oh sure, real mature!" The Earth-38 Supergirl sarcastically remarked. "You know what your problem is?"
"What? That I'm not little miss perfect like you?" The Supergirl variant asked.
The Earth-38 Supergirl appeared more offended than ever as she screamed, "You think I'm perfect?!"
She added, "You really think I'm so perfect?"
"Let's see," The Supergirl variant began as finger by finger, she counted her reasons, "You act so much like my cousin who really acts like a know-it-all, you want to do everything so neatly…"
"Hold it!" The Earth-38 Supergirl interrupted the variant. "I was just trying to stop you from doing anything reckless!"
"Oh yeah?" The variant remarked in disbelief as she scoffed.
"Have you ever had moments where your reckless thinking bit you?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked.
"I survived." The variant replied simply as she crossed her arms after shrugging. "No big deal."
"Do you just not learn from your mistakes?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked.
"Okay, see? That's exactly why I call you little miss perfect princess!" The Supergirl variant argued. "All know-it-all, everything has to be so neat, free of problems!"
"Free of problems?!" The Earth-38 Supergirl remarked in an aghast and offended manner. "I have seen my loved ones threatened, hurt, I literally saw people turned to dust and ash! I'm literally from a world where most of my people are dead!"
"And you don't think I went through all that myself?!" The Supergirl variant angrily argued. "I saw my friends disappear before they came back! I can't see my birth mom again! Every single stupid card has always been stacked against me!"
"Did you know I used to babysit Clark on Krypton but thanks to some crazy dimension time thingy, I'm the youngest one now!"
"Well, I have a similar deal!" The Earth-38 Supergirl retorted. "I never even got to see my cousin grow up. I had to find out after I was knocked off course, traveled forward in time and found out he was older than me now! You don't think I found that awkward?!"
"Had no idea you did actually." The Supergirl variant conceded with a remark.
"Even then, I get compared and there's pressure that comes with that." The Earth-38 Supergirl said.
"And you don't think that happens to me?!" The Supergirl variant retorted. "Every time I stop a bank robbery, punch a purse snatcher, even fight the occasional alien invader or destroy an incoming meteor! What happens? My cousin takes all the credit for something else he does and gets all the attention!"
"It doesn't help a wannabe news reporter like Lois Lane is always there for the story!" She added. "I even tried to get her to focus on me for a change but turned out fat chance that was ever happening."
The Earth-38 Supergirl began to display some sympathy on her face. It was either the variant who seemed to have had it as bad or worse than her. What the variant had said sounded unbelievable but appeared to be hurt by it all. Likewise with the variant, after venting her frustrations, she began to see her counterpart in a different light upon hearing she had similar griefs. Though she still had her own griefs however.
"You know, ever since that incident with the gold Kryptonite, my powers have been in a flux!" The Earth-38 Supergirl said. "I'm lucky today I got my powers but who knows if I'll get most of them again the next day!"
"And you know, just because you have a rough time in your universe, doesn't mean you have to take it out on me!" She added.
"I've dealt with Kryponite poisoning before." The Supergirl variant said. "I survived but I was bedridden for a while."
"Well, except for the part where I was cured but faked still being sick." She added as she chuckled.
"That's just evil." The Earth-38 Supergirl remarked bluntly.
"Yeah, no. Evil is some Bizzaro version of me to frame me for stuff I didn't do." The Supergirl variant retorted.
The Earth-38 Supergirl nodded in agreement as she conceded the point as she recalled her own Bizarro clone, "Fair."
"Hey, um, your family loved you?" The Supergirl variant asked.
"If you're referring to the photo of my sister and adopted mother, they do." The Earth-38 Supergirl said before she asked, "Does yours?"
"Yeah, they do." The Supergirl variant replied with a sentimental tone in her voice. "They're the embarrassing type but I do love them."
"No sister though." She added.
"Oh." The Earth-38 Supergirl made a noise of disappointment that there seemed to be no variant of Alex.
"But, I'm glad you have a good relationship with your parents too." The Earth-38 Supergirl said. "Adopted parents but still."
"Thanks." The Supergirl variant said. "And listen, um, not to get all mushy but, maybe we do have stuff in common?"
"I guess so." The Earth-38 Supergirl agreed. "I guess that's the funny thing about meeting variants from the multiverse, no matter how different you are; there's always common ground."
"How do you know I'm the variant?" The Supergirl variant smirked. "I could be the original and you're the variant."
"Trust me, we could disagree and we'd be here all day." The Earth-38 Supergirl chuckled as did the variant.
"At least we're getting along better than those two." The Supergirl variant said as she motioned her head toward Shockwave and Starscream, who were still arguing.
"It is not my fault the Kryptonian ended up in this universe!" Starscream protested. "I told you; I was under crunch time given the speed and persistence of that annoying little pest!"
"It is still your responsibility to dispose of her!" Shockwave counter argued.
"Wow, I forgot how whiny the robot with jet wings is." The Supergirl variant remarked in a snarky manner.
"He looks…similar to the one I fought before." The Earth-38 Supergirl said in realization.
She felt something familiar about Starscream, despite the different colors and voice, the body and even shape of head appeared the same.
"I got an idea how to get us out of here." The Supergirl variant said.
"What is it?" Asked the Earth-38 Supergirl.
"Just follow my lead." The Supergirl variant replied.
"You know, I've had it with you acting like a prissy princess." The Supergirl variant then said in a spiteful tone, out loud for the two Decepticons to hear.
Shockwave and Starscream were still deep in their own argument much to the Supergirl variant's chagrin but continued on regardless.
"I'm just saying, what kind of dork organizes their socks by day?" The Supergirl variant said. "They're just socks!"
"What are you talking about?" The Earth-38 Supergirl asked in confusion.
"You know what I'm talking about!" The Supergirl variant exclaimed in anger. "I'm tired of putting up with your Little Miss Perfect attitude because if you don't like me, why bother?"
The Earth-38 Supergirl remained confused until a dawn of realization crossed her face finally.
"Oh! Well…" The Earth-38 Supergirl started as her voice was raised and turned up the aggression in spite of her acting being obviously fake. "Well, you're the idiot who basically got us into this mess in the first place!"
"No way this is my fault!" The Supergirl variant protested. "You're the jerk who wanted to do things 'by the book!'"
"You know what?!" The Earth-38 Supergirl angrily exclaimed. "I am so sick of your rotten attitude! You've been nothing but pompous, bratty and rude the entire time we've stuck around!"
"Take your best shot, fake blondie!" The Supergirl variant goaded her Earth-38 counterpart as she pointed to her right cheek. "Right here!"
"Gladly!" Earth-38 Supergirl growled.
The Earth-38 Supergirl threw the first punch, to which the Supergirl variant dodged. The process repeated until the Supergirl variant used her super breath on her Earth-38 counterpart. The powerful wind blew her a few feet away when she was knocked down. To which the Earth-38 Supergirl fought back with her own super breath as she blew her counterpart a few feet away herself.
Fired up, both Supergirls lunged at each other and soon their hands were locked and attempted to push each other down.
Shockwave and Starscream ceased their arguing as they noticed the two Supergirls brawling in the cage.
"It seems I have to hastily dispose of the Kryptonians immediately." Said Shockwave as he approached the cage.
Upon stopping in front of the cage as he eyed on the two Supergirls continuing their fight, he pressed the top of the cage and the laser windows dematerialized. The Supergirls noticed and gave each other a grin and a nod. And suddenly, before Shockwave could react, both Supergirls flew right toward the Decepticon and both punched him directly in the face.
Shockwave stumbled back a bit before he regained his composure.
"Still sure of yourself?" Starscream taunted his comrade as he laughed.
"The Kryptonian females must be stopped!" Cried out Shockwave.
With that, both Supergirls flew out of the cage and charged at the two Decepticons. Shockwave fired from his weaponized left hand, while Starscream fired from his laser wrists with both Supergirls avoiding the blasts.
"I can't believe your plan worked!" The Earth-38 Supergirl complimented the variant.
"Yeah, well, now fighting back is the tricky but fun part!" Grinned the Supergirl variant as she flew off toward Shockwave.
"Kryptonian, stay away!" Shockwave cried out as he fired at the Supergirl variant.
"Make me!" Taunted the Supergirl variant as she dodged one of the laser blasts from Shockwave.
With the Earth-38 Supergirl, she charged toward Starscream and immediately punched him across the face despite his efforts into shooting her.
"You don't have to do this." Said the Earth-38 Supergirl. "Call off these data centers."
"Out of my way, you Kryptonian lackey!" Starscream shouted as he fired again. The Earth-38 Supergirl dodged the lasers, whilst Starscream avoided her punches when she lunged at him.
Meanwhile with the Supergirl variant, she fired her heat beam eyes at Shockwave who promptly avoided the blasts either by ducking or leaping out of the way whilst firing at her.
As he fired again in a rapid manner, the Supergirl dodged the laser blasts before she fired her heat eye beams at him again. Shockwave once again dodged the heat beam blasts as he continued to run and fire at her. He attempted to get a clear shot but her speed was proving more to be a hindrance despite his attempt to aim precisely.
Starscream continued to fire at the Earth-38 Supergirl but like with the variant, she continued to dodged every blast with her superspeed.
"Stand still, you filthy organic!" Starscream cried out in anger.
"Why don't you make me?!" The Earth-38 Supergirl repeated a phrase from her counterpart to taunt him.
With that, she used her super breath and Starscream now faced a powerful wind blast. He then transformed into his jet mode and charged at her, to which the Earth-38 Supergirl moved out of the way and he promptly transformed into his robot mode afterward.
"I don't know which variant is more irritating, you or the immature brat!" Starscream exclaimed in annoyance. "There was a reason I tried to send her to a universe where she'll be vulnerable and be destroyed!"
"You can't keep a good Supergirl down!" The Earth-38 Supergirl retorted as she charged at him again.
"Yes, I can!" Starscrem growled as he fired again.
The process repeated as the Earth-38 Supergirl dodged the laser blasts again.
"Time to provide reinforcements!" Shockwave said as he raced back toward the keypad and pressed a button.
"Vehicons, defend the Decepticon data center!" Shockwave cried out.
The walls opened to reveal five black and purple futuristic roadster vehicles much to the surprise of both Supergirls. And to their bigger shock, the cars transformed into giant robots themselves.
"Oh, you've got to be frickin' kidding me!" The Supergirl variant screamed in exasperation.
"This is so cheating!" Concurred the Earth-38 Supergirl.
"It is merely what organics call 'thinking ahead.'" Said Shockwave.
"Protecting the data center is not worth the effort!" Earth-38 Supergirl said to the Decepticon. "Give it up now!"
"Decepticon data centers are my creation designed for syphoning Energon and information gathering on your pathetic universe and others." Shockwave replied in a cold fashion. "I refuse to give up everything."
"And you're doing this at the expense of every universe's resources?!" Cried out a horrified Earth-38 Supergirl.
"Kryptonian, I can care less about what happens to a universe as this as long as results are made." Shockwave retorted coldly. "Even hers."
The Supergirl variant gasped in shock as whatever was happening to Earth-38 was happening to her universe and on the verge of extinction.
"And I will not allow this to happen!" The Earth-38 Supergirl said with extreme fury as he flew toward him.
"Me neither!" The Supergirl variant growled as she flew beside her.
"You both don't have a say however." Shockwave bluntly replied as he fired again.
The rest of the Vehicons fired laser blasts at the Earth-38 Supergirl as well as the variant, to which both of them dodged every blast as they were flying toward their opponents. The Vehicons fired from their hands as they were replaced by large cannons.
But even just as they were about to hit some of the Vehicons, they transformed into their vehicle modes as a means of ducking before they transformed back into their robot modes and fired again.
The two Supergirls dodged again but now had to tangle with additional laser blasts from Starscream and Shockwave.
"This is still cheating!" The Supergirl variant said in annoyance with the Earth-38 Supergirl nodding in agreement.
"We need to find a way to destroy the data centers!" Said the Earth-38 Supergirl as she dodged a laser blast.
"How are we gonna do that?" The Supergirl variant asked.
The Earth-38 Supergirl eyed on the pistol she had seen Starscream use earlier. Suddenly, she had an idea.
"That gun on the keypad, it opens portals!" The Earth-38 Supergirl replied. "I saw him use it earlier."
Starscream then eyed on the two Supergirls and then stared at the very pistol he had used earlier. It occurred to him immediately what they were possibly thinking the more they stared at the portal gun.
Suddenly, both the Decepticon seeker and the two Supergirls stared at each other for a moment and Starscream bolted away to grab the portal gun.
"Quick, we got to stop him!" The Earth-38 Supergirl cried out to her variant as they both flew toward the keypad in spite of Shockwave and the Vehicons firing at them.
"They must not acquire the device for themselves!" Shockwave cried out to the Vehicons as he continued to fire.
Ultimately, despite the superspeed of both Supergirls, Starscream grabbed the portal gun and pointed at the duo.
"I got him!" The Supergirl variant cried out before she flew directly toward him.
"Wait, stop!" The Earth-38 Supergirl protested.
"Once again, I have you within my sights, you stupid brat!" Starscream grinned as he fired the portal gun.
The Supergirl variant briefly paused before dodging as a portal opened next to her.
"The Kryptonians must not get the device!" Shockwave cried out to the Vehicons.
One of the Vehicons had now begun to charge toward the two Supergirls, even just as Starscream continued to fire the portal gun.
Both Supergirls avoided every shot as the portals appear and disappear after five seconds.
"Hold still, vermin!" Starscream yelled in irritation.
"Try and make me!" The Supergirl variant taunted the Decepticon seeker before she gave him a raspberry.
Starscream growled as he fired again and again with portals appearing and disappearing immediately after each shot.
"Oh, I'll make you!" Said Starscream. "And be sure you'll never escape the next universe you end up in!"
He then aimed it at the Earth-38 Supergirl variant herself and fired. To which the Supergirl variant pushed her Earth-38 counterpart out of the way and ducked while a portal opened. But as she raised her body upright, she instead was shot into the portal thanks to Starscream via one of the wrist lasers.
Upon being flung inside the portal, it completely closed. The Earth-38 Supergirl after she gasped and flew quickly toward the portal to rescue her. But she was too late as it closed immediately afterward.
She appeared distraught and saddened, despite her initial misgivings, the Supergirl variant to her was like a sister. The variants the Earth-38 Supergirl had encountered she had viewed as if they were always sisters, even who she deemed the drunken party girl variant. And anyone who would dare hurt them, she would not like.
She heard Starscream laugh as he said, "Finally! And hopefully, she will stay far away if not outright sent somewhere where she will die."
The Earth-38 Supergirl whirled around to face Starscream with a look of pure anger.
"Oh, don't worry," Starscream grinned as he aimed the portal gun at her. "You're next!"
"YOU BASTARD!" Screamed the Earth-38 Supergirl in extreme anger.
She lunged toward him, to which in response; Starscream instead fired one of the lasers from his wrist weaponry. Which managed to hit her but did not faze her.
Starscream immediately transformed into his jet mode and fled from her briefly until the Earth-38 Supergirl was now surrounded by a barrage of lasers from Shockwave and the Vehicons.
"Accept your defeat, Kryptonian!" Said Shockwave as Starscream transformed into his robot mode to join him. "You are the only one left."
"Now accept you have lost." He added.
"I am not giving up!" The Earth-38 Supergirl exclaimed defiantly. "And I am especially never going to give up fighting the likes of you!"
But right before the Earth-38 Supergirl prepared herself to lunge at the Decepticons again, a large portal opened up much to everyone's shock. The Earth-38 Supergirl turned around to stare in amazement at the portal before her. But to her surprise and delight, a familiar variant flew out of the portal.
"You're back!" The Earth-38 Supergirl exclaimed happily.
"Yeah, sorry I took so long!" The Supergirl variant said. "But I made a few stops and made new friends along the way."
"I'm sorry, new friends?" Asked the Earth-38 Supergirl in confusion.
The Supergirl variant grinned as out of the portal joining her were similarly dressed individual variants.
The Earth-38 Supergirl stared in shock and awe over the sight. Some variants she recognized and others were new to her. She had met a few of the variants before such as one from Earth-1978 and the other, the Earth-52 variant who she referred to as the drunken party girl variant. Earth-38 Supergirl was even happy to see her again.
"Heard there was a fight, I wanted in!" Said the Earth-52 Supergirl as she showed a huge grin on her face as she wore her brown coat.
But the others she did not recognize, one had short blonde hair with two long bangs on the sides of her hair with a red skirt and full body suit.
Another variant was younger in a mostly blue body suit with red boots, the red "S" on the chest and dashes of red lines on a long skirt that might as well had been the closest thing to a cape.
Another variant was younger but a bit older than the Supergirl variant she had currently met. This one seemed more she would be in college as a young adult. She had the usual blonde hair like most of the others but her overall outfit was blue, save for the red cape, red skirt and red boots along with the symbol on her chest, but her outfit exposed her midriff as well.
But one that stood out was a Supergirl variant who had very short black hair with slightly long bangs on the front of her hair. Her outfit was mostly blue but the top part around her upper chest and neck, as well as her cape, being red and of course, had the symbol on her chest.
Earth-38 Supergirl was touched by the number of variants who had apparently had come to her air. While Starscream remained shocked that once again, the specific Supergirl variant had not only outsmarted him yet again somehow, but managed to take advantage of her predicament. Shockwave however glared at his comrade in spite of his one eye.
"This is amazing!" Earth-38 Supergirl laughed in excitement.
The black short haired Supergirl eyed on the symbol of the Decepticons from the opponents and made a death glare; a symbol she recognized too well.
The Earth-38 Supergirl then flew softly to join with her fellow Supergirl variants as all of them stood proudly side by side with each other.
"It matters not." Shockwave said. "Soon, this universe will be robbed of its resources and it will suffice as victory for the Decepticons."
"We'll see about that!" Earth-38 Supergirl cried out defiantly.
With that, she flew toward Shockwave and the rest of the Decepticons with the rest of the Supergirl variants following suit immediately.
As the Decepticons fired at the Supergirl variants, a lot of them had dodged every laser blast thrown at them imaginable.
Finally, the two forces clashed as a few of the Supergirl variants took on the five Vehicons and a few others fought against Shockwave and Starscream respectively.
"The one with the jet wings is mine!" The short haired Supergirl variant said to Earth-38 Supergirl.
"I'll take on one eye!" Earth-38 Supergirl said as she referred to Shockwave.
The Earth-1978 and Earth-1992 Supergirls encountered one of the Vehicons and the Decepticon trooper immediately started firing at them. The duo dodged much of the laser blasts and immediately, Earh-1978 Supergirl used her super breath to blow the first Vehicon away. In response, the Vehicon transformed into its roadster vehicle mode and simply attempted to drive through the wind being thrown at him.
The Earth-1992 Supergirl had a different idea as she fired her laser beam eyes at the tires of the Vehicon. In response, the Vehicon transformed back into its robot mode and fired again. Only for the Earth-1992 Supergirl to punch it in the face and tear its arm off instead and then whack the Vehicon in the face.
Finally, the Earth-1978 Supergirl flew straight toward the Vehicon and performed a somersault maneuver in mid-fight and kicked the Vehicon as hard as she could directly into the chest with Earth-1992 Supergirl performing the finishing touch as she literally blew the Vehicon's head off with her eye beam laser blasts.
During that specific battle, the Earth-167 Supergirl fought against the second of the Vehicons as it fired at her. One laser blast had managed to hit and sent her spinning but she nevertheless recovered and flew straight toward the Vehicon despite the Decepticon trooper's rapid firing.
Suddenly, she flew straight through the Decepticon trooper's chest, in and out, and the Vehicon exploded and the Earth-167 Supergirl stared at the result with a small smirk on her face.
Another Vehicon was firing next at the Earth-52 Supergirl who like the others promptly dodged every laser blast fired at her. Upon flying in front of the arm cannon the Vehicon was firing from, the Earth-52 Supergirl grabbed and with all her superstrength, lifted the Vehicon and threw him right side up and his arm taken off in the process. As the Vehicon slid across the floor, the Decepticon trooper ceased. Until the Earth-52 Supergirl flew on top on him and began descend downward whilst holding the Decepticon trooper's decapitated arm like a club and finally, the arm made contact with the Vehicon's head and was smashed into pieces.
The Earth-52 Supergirl threw the arm aside afterward and exclaimed, "Socked a robot!"
The Earth-51 Supergirl in the meanwhile had intercepted one of the Vehicons firing at her and unleashed multiple punches on the Decepticon trooper. Like her Earth-52 counterpart, she ripped off the right arm and used it like a club. First, she knocked the Vehicon upside its face. Then knocked his head left to right and vice versa. Until finally, she plunged the arm directly onto the Vehicon's chest and flew behind to kick him in the back-sending the Vehicon falling down to the floor.
"I like your style!" New-52 Supergirl called out to her Earth-51 counterpart with a grin on her face.
The Earth-51 Supergirl returned the grin with a soft smile. Something she was still getting used to doing after opening up more to others.
With Earth-23 Supergirl, the two remaining Vehicons fired at her with the Earth-23 Supergirl variant charging at them and managed to punch one of them on the left and roundhouse kick the Vehicon across the face.
The Vehicon attempted to fire again but just as it did, Earth-23 Supergirl ducked and instead, blasted the head off from the remaining Vehicon. In turn, Earth-51 Supergirl kicked the headless Vehicon down. While the Earth-23 Supergirl lunged at the Vehicon just as it was prepared to fire again and she grabbed the chest of the Decepticon trooper and lifted it above her head.
She threw the Decepticon trooper toward the wall and with her superspeed, she then punched the Vehicon hard enough that the Decepticon trooper crashed through the wall and managed to crash into the other side as the Vehicon ended up crashing into the outside forest.
Meanwhile with the teenage Supergirl variant, she was busy fighting against Starscream, who made rapid fire laser blasts. She had managed to dodge most of the blasts but got hit by a few but had managed to resume her attack as she flew toward the Decepticon seeker.
"Stay back!" Cried out Starscream.
In response, the Supergirl variant punched Starscream in the face and caused him to stumble back a bit.
"How I wish I have Kryptonite on me." Grumbled Starscream.
'Perhaps next time.' He thought to himself as he made a mental note.
The Supergirl variant punched him again that snapped him out of the thought for now as he fired again and dodged her attacks.
With the Earth-38 Supergirl, he fired again and again but she dodged every blast thrown at her. Suddenly, she unleashed the heat eyebeam blasts at the Decepticon, who promptly dodged the attack and had even ducked at a few points.
In turn, Supergirl clapped her hands and had sent a loud but boom shockwave that had the Decepticon himself stumble back a few feet.
"Blasted Kryptonian!" Shockwave cursed out loud. "You will not win this battle!"
With that, he transformed into his gun mode and Starscream grabbed him and began firing.
"I'm sorry, you transform into a gun?!" Earth-38 Supergirl, exasperated at what she had just witnessed.
"Don't bother thinking the logistics!" Said Starscream. "As the human expression goes, one shouldn't throw stones at glass houses."
"Especially when one can fly!" He added before he fired Shockwave.
Shrugging off what she had witnessed and the remark, the Earth-38 Supergirl charged again at the two Decepticons but was hit by the blast from Shockwave instead and was flown back a few feet and had headed straight toward the ceiling before the teenage Supergirl variant had caught her in the nick of time.
"Thanks!" Thanked the Earth-38 Supergirl.
"Hey, what are friends for?" The teen Supergirl variant said with a soft smile.
"Let's kick their butts!" Earth-38 Supergirl exclaimed as she pounded her right fist.
"Now you're speaking my language!" The teen Supergirl variant grinned.
The duo now charged at Starscream, who continued to fire Shockwave in his gun mode but still used his wrist mounted lasers. The two Supergirls flew around him and had managed to deliver a few sucker punches on his face with Starscream firing back in response.
Soon enough, the other Supergirl variants as soon as they were finished with their fights with the Vehicons, they now joined the two Supergirls and once again stood side by side.
"I will destroy you all!" Growled Starscream.
"Try it!" Earth-38 Supergirl shouted.
With that, all the Supergirl variants flew toward the Decepticon seeker as he rapidly fired Shockwave at all of them but their superspeed was enough to not only dodge the blasts but finally punch Starscream. The Earth-38 and teen variant Supergirls delivered the first punches to his face. While the Earth-1978 and Earth-23 Supergirl variants grabbed his jet wings and threw him across the main room of the data center.
Starscream fired Shockwave again, only for Earth-51 Supergirl to kick him out of the Decepticon seeker's hand.
Shockwave transformed back into robot mode and fired the laser blasts from his left hand again. Only for the Earth-167 Supergirl to punch him from behind and before he could even react, the Earth-52 Supergirl punched him directly in the face.
As the Earth-1992 Supergirl lunged at Starscream as well, the Earth-38 Supergirl saw her chance at heading toward the keypad.
"Maybe there's a chance of deactivating the data center." Said the Earth-38 Supergirl as the teen variant joined her.
To her immediate shock, the keypad was in a language she could not even understand. This was not an alien language familiar to her. Not even Kryptonian.
The Earth-38 Supergirl was stunned and baffled as she had hoped maybe before destroying the data center completely, it could be shut down manually.
"Come on, you know you want to!" The teen Supergirl variant grinned as she purposefully and playfully goaded her counterpart to do the opposite.
"You know what? Screw it!" The Earth-38 Supergirl shouted.
"NO!" Shockwave shouted as he surprisingly showed one hint of emotion.
The Earth-38 Supergirl with all her super strength, clasped her fists together and smashed the keypad. The force was strong enough to shatter the keypad instantly. Followed by the Earth-38 Supergirl using her heat vision to finish it off.
Finally, the keypad exploded. Followed by the computer screen. Until finally, the hard drives started to explode. In another area of the data center, the factory room where the energy from the Earth-38 universe was being converted into energon cubes had now not only started to deactivate but instantly malfunction and literally fall apart as the walls exploded and whatever energon cubes were deployed, they were now destroyed and the energy had begun its return to the very universe it was stolen from.
So much energy was released that it had even spread throughout the data center before it returned to the very universe it was stolen from. As such, all of the Supergirl variants looked on in amazement at the sight of it all.
Until they were reminded the data center was still exploding and falling apart as they were startled by another explosion from one of the hard drives.
Shockwave despite his lack of facial features, could only feel anger deep down his circuits.
"Way to go other me!" The teen Supergirl variant happily cried out to her Earth-38 counterpart.
"Well, I learned from the best." The Earth-38 Supergirl said with a smile.
Suddenly, the Supergirl variants noticed Starscream opening a portal in the midst of the data center exploding and falling apart. He still held the portal gun during the battle and attempted to sneak his way back into the data center that was implanted in the universe he was stationed at.
"Oh no you don't!" Cried out the teen Supergirl variant as she flew toward him.
"Stay away!" Cried out Starscream.
Starscream fired the wrist mounted lasers again but upon flying directly toward him, she noticed he was returning to a Decepticon data center of his own. She recognized it was the very data center she had found herself previously in before he had transported her into Earth-38 by accident.
"Better idea!" The teenage Supergirl variant exclaimed with a grin on her face.
The teenage Supergirl variant fired her heat vision directly into the portal. The heat vision blast actually went past Starscream, who smirked at first thinking she had missed. But he realized quickly upon hearing a booming sound, he turned around to see much to his surprise, the keypad in the data center exploding and soon the hard drives, the energon factory room inside, everything in the data center he was stationed in was exploding as much as the Decepticon data center Shockwave was running.
Figuring everything was at a loss, Starscream instead opted to retreat and transform into his jet mode and left the data center from the universe he was stationed in. But not before he threw the portal gun onto the ground and blasted it apart.
Starscream immediately flew through a hole on the ceiling in the Decepticon data center Shockwave was stationed in.
"Nice!" The Earth-38 Supergirl complimented the teenage variant.
"Eh, played it smart for once." The teenage Supergirl variant smiled as she shrugged in her own boastful manner.
The Earth-38 Supergirl smiled in response. But their trains of thought were interrupted by more explosions. They glanced at Shockwave who flew up through the same hole in the ceiling.
"We will meet again, Kryptonian!" Shockwave cried out. "We will meet again!"
'And I thought The Batman of Earth Two-Zero-Zero-Four and his underlings were annoyingly persistent.' He then thought to himself.
"Cowards!" The Earth-51 Supergirl shouted.
"I agree, if they are true warriors, they would not back down from battle!" The Earth-23 Supergirl concurred with one of her counterparts.
Another explosion occurred as coupled with more of the hard drives exploding, they had gotten more violent.
"I think that's our cue to leave!" The Earth-38 Supergirl said with the others nodding in agreement.
With that, all of them flew through the same hole on the ceiling and flew up in the sky and ceased as they stood in mid-air watching the Decepticon data center explode. The tubes that were used to absorb energy to convert into energon cubes dislodged and deactivated as they exploded with flames pouring out of the port holes. After a few more explosive blasts, the Decepticon data center finally exploded in a fiery blaze. With one explosion, followed by a bigger one that completely destroyed the Decepticon data center for good.
"Whoa!" The teenage Supergirl variant cried out in excitement. "This explosion would make a sweet album cover."
"I hear ya there." The Earth-52 Supergirl nodded in agreement as the two Supergirls high fived each other.
The Earth-38 Supergirl could not help but roll her eyes since that was the interaction she expected from the two of them. But then she giggled as she found it cute.
Suddenly, the Earth-38 Supergirl then glanced from a distance, the two retreating Decepticons until they were no longer in sight.
'We'll settle it next time, whoever you are.' She thought to herself.
Finally, all of the Supergirls landed on the ground and now were facing each other, either with curiosity or amazement.
"Well, I've met some of you before but most of you are new to me." Said the Earth-38 Supergirl as she addressed the group of Supergirl variants before her.
"How did you get them here?" She then asked the teenage variant.
"Somehow that portal thing got me to the 31st century in her universe," She replied as she pointed to the Earth-1992 Supergirl who waved "hello."
She continued, "And thanks to Brainy…"
"You met a Brainiac 5 variant?" Earth-38 Supergirl asked in amazement.
"Yeah." Replied the teenage variant. "So, through a bunch of science doohickey stuff, I told other me I needed to get back and I was calling for help, one thing led to another and yeah."
"I've had a bad experience with a Decepticon before." Said the Earth-51 Supergirl as she displayed a moment of feeling uncomfortable. "I have a long way to go fighting them evidently."
"Well, at least you're not alone fighting them." Said the Earth-1978 Supergirl as a way of comfort.
"Thanks." The Earth-51 Supergirl nodded.
"Although some of us are kind of lost about the context about why we're here." Said the Earth-167 Supergirl.
"This was new territory for me admittedly." Nodded the Earth-23 Supergirl. "But I'm astounded there are more…me's…."
"And I feel ecstatic that I have sisters!" She gleefully added.
"I was just here because why the hell not fight giant fascist robots?" Said the Earth-52 Supergirl so casually.
"Worth it?" Asked the teenage Supergirl variant.
"Hell yeah!" The Earth-52 Supergirl shouted with a huge smile on her face as the two variants high fived each other.
"It's really fortunate the portal got you to someone you could trust." Said the Earth-38 Supergirl. "Maybe Rao was watching over you."
"Probably?" The teenage Supergirl variant shrugged.
Unbeknownst to them, watching from afar was a mysterious woman in a purple bodysuit, red vest, more red clothing to the point of a pointed red tiara on her head. The Sorcerer Supreme, Wanda Maximoff, had been watching from the woods and smiled as she sighed in relief.
"The apocalyptic future for this universe and the other have thankfully not come to pass." She said as next to her was a window to a desolate future devoid of water, forestation or any form of life. A window to both sets of universes that suffered a similar fate to each other.
She observed that the window changed to a futuristic version of National City. Wanda smiled as the window to the future dematerialized. As did the other universe that had displayed similar results.
"My spells to send the variant where she needed to be worked." She added. "Thank you, Kara Zor-El. All of you."
With that, she walked away; leaving the rest of the Supergirl variants to never know she was even on Earth-38 at all.
"So, how do we get back at all?" Asked the Earth-167 Supergirl.
"Yeah, my dog is gonna get so restless without me." Said the Earth-52 Supergirl.
"I think Brainy can solve that problem anyway." Replied the Earth-38 Supergirl
"I think by now my sister can track us down given the data center was messing with every bit of technology." She added.
As if right on cue, all of the Supergirl variants turned around to see a collection of black colored vehicles from SUVs to Porsches. Some of the variants were alarmed, thinking they were some form of the Decepticon troopers known as the Vehicons. The Earth-51 Supergirl especially tensed up as she was ready to fight again.
"It's okay!" The Earth-38 Supergirl calmly assured her variants. "They're not Decepticons."
The Earth-51 Supergirl especially felt at ease and calmed down a bit.
"Got to say," Said the teen variant Supergirl as she wrapped her left arm around the neck of the Earth-38 Supergirl. "This was so not a boring day!"
Amused, the Earth-38 Supergirl rolled her eyes. Her antics remaining the same, even after everything that had happened.
Alex Danvers was the first to exit the SUV and as she jogged toward her adopted sister, she froze in her tracks. Stunned and surprise at the sight that was before her; a group of Supergirl variants that joined her adopted sister.
"Kara…" Alex breathed in amazement. "What is…"
"Kara, what the hell…" A shocked J'onn began to ask as he joined Alex as he flew down to join her.
"It's a long story!" The Earth-38 Supergirl hastily answered as she removed the arm of the teenage variant away from her neck.
"Is that the reckless variant worse than the party girl?" Asked Alex.
"Hey, I'm standing right here!" Both the teenage and Earth-52 Supergirl variants shouted in total unison to their chagrin.
"Yeah but every variant of me I'd like to think of as another sister." The Earth-38 Supergirl smiled.
"Though don't get me started on the teenage me." She added.
"Why, because of high school?" Alex asked.
"Worse!" The Earth-38 Supergirl laughed.
"Come on, just admit I'm awesome!" Laughed the teenage Supergirl variant as she playfully pat on the back of her Earth-38 counterpart.
"So, what else happened that resulted in…" Alex was about to ask.
"It's a long story." Replied the Earth-38 Supergirl immediately. "But I found out new details about the giant transforming robot I encountered."
"We'll discuss it once we send all the other you's back." Said J'onn. "Just hopefully Brainiac 5 has something in mind."
"Alright, get to spend a little bit longer!" Laughed the Earth-52 Supergirl as the teenage variant laughed alongside with her.
"Oh god, there's really two of them!" Groaned Alex.
"Yeah, but they're my variants." Said the Earth-38 Supergirl with a chuckle and a warm smile.
Suddenly, they were startled by the sound of a belch. They turned around to see both the teenage Supergirl and Earth-52 Supergirl laughing as they apparently held a belching contest much to the confusion of the other Supergirl variants.
"Well, at least some enjoy each other's company more." The Earth-38 Supergirl remarked humorously.
Earth-4030: Metropolis
In a forest somewhere away from Metropolis, a group of young, teenage superhero girls; Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Bumblebee, Zatanna, and Jessica Cruz aka the Green Lantern, had rushed over to the Decepticon data center after Batgirl had managed to spot it from afar during the commotion of the side effects affecting their universe. Especially after Kara, Supergirl herself, had gone over to investigate what was going on. But never told her friends what she was doing.
'Typical Kara.' Zatanna thought given she knew about her friend's impulsive need to fight the villain first without a plan.
As the superhero girls were prepared to leap into after moments later of approaching the Decepticon data center, they were too late as it had already exploded and their universe appeared to had gone back to normal after the side effects had caused the water to be discolored brown, electricity being in danger of turning off and so forth.
"Wow!" Bumblebee cried out. "Kara sure did a number on this place!"
Suddenly, a portal opened to reveal a familiar face flying out of the portal; the teenage Girl of Steel herself.
"Kara!" They cried out happily before they all conversed at the same time asking, "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"Guys, guys!" The teenage Kara motioned for her friends to calm down. "I'm okay and well, had a fun fighting giant fascist robots and met a super dorky version of me."
"You went to another universe?!" Batgirl excitedly shouted. "Did you meet the Titans again?"
"Not exactly but you won't believe the day I had!" Said Supergirl.
"Does it have anything to do with whatever that was?" Wonder Woman asked as she pointed to the destroyed Decepticon data center.
"Trust me, that thing was bad news and good as dead." Said Supergirl. "But here's what happened…"
Unknown Void
Starscream and Shockwave stood in front of the War Monger Megatron who had a disapproving scowl on his face.
"We understand we have failed, lord Megatron." Said Shockwave. "Unfortunately, the Kryptonian had reinforcements and destroyed the data centers."
Starscream grimaced upon hearing the remark as he now hated being reminded of that specific failure.
"Not helped by the ineffective use of the portal gun." Shockwave added.
"The device was working perfectly!" Starscream protested angrily. "It was a simple glitch that needed to be fixed!"
"Silence!" Bellowed the War Monger Megatron.
He then calmly stated, "Failure, yes. But, seventy-five percent of the information was received to the council in spite of the data center being destroyed."
He then added with a grin, "In particular, Earth-38 had much interesting data to go off on. Even the identity of the Kryptonian female."
"We know she lives among the humans regardless." Starscream pointed out. "Why bother knowing her identity?"
"Only to use as collateral." Replied the War Monger Megatron. "We know her birth name but her human identity is another and her loved ones will do nicely as targets. Especially this DEO and their members."
"But as for the Decepticon data centers," He added with an evil grin. "Two of them are destroyed, yes. But there are more still being built across the multiverse."
"Perhaps we just need to upgrade our security." Suggested Shockwave. "And make sure certain weaknesses against our enemies are utilized more."
"Precisely, Shockwave." The War Monger Megatron agreed. "Make sure every Constructicon variant is on schedule to complete the Data Centers."
"At once, Lord Megatron." Shockwave saluted.
Earth-2004: Gotham City
Batman and Robin were overseas around Japan as they were dealing with the Joker's next plot. Batman had appointed Batgirl to hold the fort while they were gone; a task she was all too accepting of as this was her chance to completely shine as a solo superhero.
And while for a few days, she had proven herself as she took down a few villains, even Penguin, Killer Croc and Black Mask among others. But then came one night, she not only took on Bane but also a villain far beyond what she was normally used to, alien invaders like The Joining aside.
Bane was joined by of all villains, Silver Banshee, a young woman who looked like the Grim Reaper to Batgirl due to her skeleton makeup face and the black and white outfit, and Metallo. Though throughout the fight, it appeared Silver Banshee was more calling the shots. Batgirl had managed to evade the villains during the fight in the open streets of Gotham, but it was clear she was being overpowered.
That was until she saw a quick flash that flew beside at super speed much to her shock. At first, she thought it was The Flash but it became clear that it was not only someone else, but someone who seemed related to a certain someone.
As upon the red blur punching Metallo to the point of sending him flying into the harbor and getting stuck to the bottom, Batgirl's savior was revealed to be a not only a young girl around her age but wore a blue pants suit with a red cape and a familiar "S" symbol on her chest, alongside a red skirt, red boots and a gold belt buckle. And her dark blonde hair was cut in a short bob haircut style with a bang or two from her hair sticking out.
She displayed an expression that was full of confidence and triumph with a hint of eagerness for a fight against supervillains.
"You again?!" Screamed Silver Banshee in furious anger.
"One puny girl cannot take on me!" Shouted Bane with arrogance in his tone of voice.
"Take it, tough guy!" Shouted the young girl. "'Cuz the name is Supergirl!"
As Bane charged at her, the Girl of Steel herself grabbed a nearby trash can and quickly crushed it and formed it into a ball and after a few swings, she used her super strength and threw the object at him.
As a result of the combined forces of her superstrength, speed and momentum, the object hit Bane directly into his stomach and near his crotch like a dart on a bullseye. Bane immediately felt the pain and his knees had started to buckle as the pain he received was too much.
Which was enough of an open for Supergirl to flew toward him and punched him in the crotch, which increased the pain Bane was already receiving.
Finally, Bane collapsed into unconsciousness as his knees collapsed until he landed on the pavement face first.
"Whoa!" Batgirl shouted in amazement.
"He's unconscious, don't worry!" Supergirl said to Batgirl to assure her.
"But you won't be!" Screamed the Silver Banshee.
With that, she unleashed a powerful super sonic scream to which Supergirl stood her ground despite the powerful sonic blast.
In retaliation, Supergirl unleashed her super breath to counteract the sonic scream. Silver Banshee in a split second had a moment of shock and surprise before the powerful wind knocked her down. Supergirl smirked until Silver Banshee stood up and charged at her.
Supergirl did the same and as Silver Banshee tried to physically hit her, Supergirl hit her back and punched her across the face, enough to knock her down.
With her superspeed, she approached Batgirl and grabbed the grappling hook from her utility belt.
"Can I borrow this?" She asked.
But before Batgirl could reply, she used the rope from the grappling hook to tie up Silver Banshee via superspeed.
Silver Banshee was prepared to use her super scream again, until Supergirl slapped on a "Do not open until Christmas" sticker on her mouth. Much to the annoyance of Silver Banshee as this was the second time she had done this.
"Those stickers never get old!" Said Supergirl with a grin on her face as she laughed. "I always use that sticker whenever she shows up and I take her butt down!"
"That was awesome!" Batgirl shouted in excitement and amazement.
"Thanks." Said Supergirl as she turned around to face the Bat themed heroine.
"So, are you…" Batgirl began to ask.
"Yeah, my cousin is Superman and yadda, yadda." Replied the Girl of Steel. "But my name is Supergirl."
"I'm, uh, Batgirl." The bat themed heroine stammered a bit.
"Nice to meet you." Supergirl said as she playfully fist bumped on Batgirl's shoulder softly.
"No lie, that was awesome!" Batgirl complimented the new superhero.
"Thanks!" Supergirl replied with a triumphant smile. "I always wanted to meet one of the Bat heroes."
"My cousin told me the time he was mind controlled by Luthor and the Bat had to save his butt for that."
"Sucks I wasn't there though." Batgirl said as she lamented that she was not present for the time The Batman had teamed up with Superman.
"Well, first time for everyone!" Supergirl said before she asked, "Mind if I join you for a night of crime fighting?"
"Let's do it!" Batgirl exclaimed happily as she high fived Supergirl.
With that, a new crime fighter friendship was born.
Earth-51: Metropolis
The Earth-51 Supergirl had safely returned home. She was still astounded to meet many versions of herself, flattered even. But she came to the rescue of one of her variants as she unfortunately had a bad run in with a Decepticon before.
As she flew above the Daily Planet and floated above the building, she eyed on the city as a whole. Some trauma she had not gotten over yet. She thought back to her time when she was held captive by Professor Ivo and the DEO.
Months Ago…
A man with dark hair and a five o'clock shadow beard in a simple lab coat and plain black clothing and shoes stood around in a large hangar of the organization the DEO. The doors opened to reveal a large jet heading toward him.
The jet transformed however into a giant robot. Something Professor Ivo had been used to at this point.
"Do you have the brain as you promised, Sixshot?" Asked Professor Ivo.
"Personality component." The Decepticon corrected the human professor as he took the personality component out from his chest. Along with a small container.
"Along with this." He added.
"What is it?" Ivo asked.
"It's a spark." Replied Sixshot. "The soul of a Transformer to put it in organic terms. This particular one is from an ancient Decepticon as is the personality component."
"These elements should give your android the life you need for it." He added.
Professor Ivo's eyes lit up like a kid in a candy store as he took both the items very eagerly.
"Why are you so eager to betray your boss?" Ivo asked out of curiosity.
"My leader, whose only moniker being the Mad Scientist is a pretentious fool who has delusions of grandeur." Replied Sixshot. "I'm willing to work for the highest bidder who could make better use of my talents."
"Besides, I doubt he knows what I've done." He added.
"If you say so." Said Professor Ivo. "But for now, as I implement this for Amazo, I still have my first passion project."
"The Kryptonian?" Asked Sixshot.
Professor Ivo smiled as he said, "The one and only."
"Which I must thank you for giving us the means to prevent her escape." He added. "For it had given me the opportunity, to achieve the key to immortality."
"You think her blood sample will do that?" Sixshot asked as he expressed his doubt.
"Don't doubt me, Sixshot." Professor Ivo retorted. "I have utter confidence in my subject."
In a prison chamber, a large sphere underneath the DEO; in the dark where the only light was a lowly tinted red light.
Inside, a young woman, dressed in a white prison rag and nothing else, not even a pair of shoes. She was a barefoot prisoner with short jet black hair, in a pixie bob haircut style, breathed heavily with her face down on her arms on the edge of her bed.
Beside her on the bed, was a familiar suit with a familiar symbol. A symbol that stood for hope.
And soon, she was to be free and gain new allies and gain a new perspective as she was to become a hero in her own right. But that was another story.
Earth-1952: Metropolis
Superman had found himself weakened by a Kryptonite beam as he struggled to stand up from the platform he had been lured into when he attempted to rescue Lois Lane, who had been captured by the notorious Happy King, who once again, set out his revenge against Superman.
And doing so, he had even taken Professor Horatio Hinkle hostage as he had known about him inventing a robot before and had forced him to create not only another robot to fight Superman, but also an invention that would utilize Kryptonite.
"I finally have you where I want you, Superman." Said Happy King as he brandished a simple pistol and grinned evilly. "And now, I'll go down in history as the man who killed Superman!"
Lois attempted to break free but the shackles on her wrists that held her to the wall prevented her from doing anything. While Professor Hinkle was also held against his will with the same shackles, looked on with remorse and guilt, Lois felt sorry for him that he had done terrible things against his will.
"Say good night, freak!" Happy King said as he turned off the safety.
Suddenly, he and everyone heard a noise much to everyone's confusion.
Then a loud boom was heard and Happy King looked up to see a young blonde woman in a familiar blue suit with red boots, a red skirt and a red cape. And especially a familiar "S" symbol on her chest.
He stared in horror and shock over the young woman before her who grinned triumphantly.
"IT CAN'T BE!" Happy King screamed in horror. "Another super?!"
"Supergirl, actually!" She introduced herself. "Now let my cousin go!"
In response, Happy King shot Supergirl multiple times in a frantic manner. But like her cousin, the bullets bounced off her like rubber bands. Supergirl smirked as she rolled her eyes and promptly snatched the guy away from his hands and crumpled it up into a ball. And then, like a baseball pitcher, she threw the destroyed gun at the control panel that used Kryptonite to weaken Superman.
The impact destroyed the control and thus, deactivated the machine.
Happy King then attempted to punch Supergirl, but the Girl of Steel herself intercepted the fist and then held him by his neck as he now had a terrified look on his face.
"Now didn't your mother teach you to respect women?!" Said Supergirl.
With that, she threw the criminal into an empty crate and knocked him unconscious completely. He attempted to lift his head as he groaned in pain but was too weak to do anything, so he passed out as a result.
Suddenly, the very robot Happy King forced Professor Hinkle to invent had begun a sneak attack on Supergirl. But with her super strength, she quickly disarmed the robot as quite literally, the arms fell to the floor upon tearing them off and Supergirl proceeded to destroy the rest until finally, the robot was completely destroyed.
Supergirl then turned her attention to her now recovering cousin.
"Are you okay?" Supergirl asked Superman out of concern.
"I'm okay." Superman replied as he assured his cousin.
"But I owe my life to you, my cousin." He then said out of gratitude.
Supergirl smiled warmly as she appreciated the kind words of her cousin.
Soon after, Lois and Professor Hinkle were free as Supergirl and Superman tore off the cuffs.
"I'm glad you got here in the nick of time!" Professor Hinkle said to Superman.
"Thank you but my cousin, Supergirl, deserves all the thanks." Superman said. "Without her, I would have been done for."
"You're gonna make one heck of a story, that's for sure!" Lois exclaimed in excitement.
"Thank you all," Supergirl said graciously. "And I'm sure it'll be quite the story, Ms. Lane!"
"Where is Linda anyway?" Lois then asked.
"Don't worry, she's safe." Supergirl assured Lois. "But I don't doubt she'll definitely enjoy your story."
Deep down inside, Supergirl could not help but be giddy as unbeknownst to everyone, Linda Lee Danvers was her secret identity and only her cousin, Clark Kent aka Superman himself knew.
No matter the universe, Supergirl will always save the day.
