Work Text:
The gang sat around the table eating their food Bubble had prepared. Today's breakfast was some pancakes with honey, likely because Bubble didn't know what syrup was.
Jax stumbled into the dining room, having just woken up.
He grinned as he slid into the empty spot between Pomni and Zooble.
"Ah, I remember when I choked on a pancake," Jax said, reminiscing with overexaggerated joy.
"What do you mean?" Zooble asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I mean I choked on a pancake, obviously," Jax remarked, rolling his eyes playfully.
"Like, are you lying or..."
"Me? Lie? Pft, I dunno who you're talking to!"
"That's a lie."
Caine suddenly appeared in front of them before Jax could reply.
"Hello, my grape ice cream cones! Today's adventure is..." Bubble appeared beside Caine, giving a drumroll. "Whichever I draw from the suggestion box! As long as it does not contain..."
"S[boink]ual content, harmful activi-"
"Actually, Zooble Wooble, harmful activity is completely allowed for this adventure! As that is what you humans want!" Caine interrupted, holding a finger up.
"Uh... okay." Zooble replied, skeptical.
Caine dug his hand around the suggestion box, pulling out a random piece of paper.
"Today's adventure is!" He unfolded the note. "Torturing Jax in unconventional ways! Wowie, that sounds exciting!"
Jax suddenly was fully attentive. "Wait, what?" His pupils shrunk slightly as he stared at Caine.
"That's right! Today we're gonna make Jax miserable! Because that's what the humans want, isn't that right, Bubble?"
"[Bloink]"
"Bubble... we talked about this."
"I don't wanna be tortured," Jax added, crossing his arms as he looked at Caine with narrow eyes.
"Aww, that's too bad, Jax. I'm sure we love you torturing us," Zooble side-eyed Jax, deadpan.
"Have fun, my ice cream loaded guns!" Caine exclaimed, snapping his fingers.

Suddenly they were teleported into some weird classroom.
"What?" Jax was confused. Wasn't this meant to be torture? He looked around. The rest of the gang was there, excluding Kinger, who seemed to be the teacher.
"Today, class, we will be learning about the!" Kinger informed happily as he drew on the chalkboard. It made this awful sound. The chalkboard was extra scratchy for some reason.
Jax's hypersensitive bunny ears picked up on it instantly. It was awful. He held his hands to his ears, trying to drain out the noise.
"Aw, you scared of chalk?" Zooble teased, legs on her desk.
"No. Do you guys seriously not hear that awful sound?" Jax stared at Zooble, confused.
"What sound?" Her eyebrows raised.
"The chalk against the board. Ugh, it's disgusting," Jax explained, pulling his ears back.
Zooble blinked blankly at Jax. The chalkboard was making a normal noise. Was he drunk or something?

Suddenly they were teleported to a different place, a big screen in front of them as they sat in a cinema.
"Ummm..." Jax looked around. The others were yet again there. "Okay..." He kicked back in his seat, putting his feet up.
Commercials began rolling on the projector. Some car rental service, a local festival. Eventually, after what felt like hours of trailers, they got to the movie.
It began with some cartoon characters standing around a destroyed house. One of them said, "Now we have nothing!" and began going off at the others. It was actually fairly entertaining.
That was until the movie abruptly shifted into a black and white flickering screen.
Jax's pupils narrowed immediately as he stared at the screen.
He felt the tingling behind his eyes. His words felt numb, like he couldn't speak. His fingertips got pins and needles, then his paw pads.
Suddenly there was nothing.
He woke up, looking around, eyes wide. He was surrounded by the five other humans, all looking concerned.
"What... what happened?" Jax asked, already pretty sure of the answer as he rubbed his sore head.
"You were like... seizing or something," Zooble informed, narrowing her eyes. "Do you have, like, epilepsy?"
"Pft, no." Jax looked away as he lied through his teeth.
"Yeah, you just happen to have a seizure, gotcha." Zooble deadpanned, crossing her arms.
Jax paused, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, I had epilepsy. Big woop," Jax crossed his arms, standing up dizzy as ever but not willing to admit it.
Zooble looked concerned for Jax. "Caine toying with your medical condition isn't nothing. You might be a [bloink]hole, but you still deserve basic humanity," Zooble assured Jax, eyebrows furrowing.
"Wow, getting real emotional here, huh, Zoobie?"
Zooble sighed, making a promise to herself. She was gonna help Jax because nobody deserved to be treated awfully. Not even him.
