Chapter Text
Matsumura Kousei was a normal guy, in his opinion.
Sure, he is gay as fuck, but still absolutely very normal.
And yes, he very much does like to read manhwas and light novels with cringey love stories because he is a romantic at heart.
If any of his stories have omegaverse and is BL… well that’s for Kousei to know and nobody else to find out. His ao3 account is hidden so well, there’s no doubt that nobody can look for it.
That being said, he did genuinely have a life and touched grass 24/7, being the super athletic awesome soccer player that he is.
Clearly the best team player of all time, no need to thank him.
Literally nothing bad ever happened to him ar all. Everyone loves him, and he has nothing bad going on with his life besides, not to brag, but being rich does have its perks.
As well as being perfectly handsome, with his charmingly sweet personality. Everyone would kill for his stylish raven hair.
Let’s face it, Kousei clearly is one of god’s blessed sons on this Earth because nothing goes wrong for him.
So imaging his surprise when one day, as he was walking down his usual path to his school, a truck hit him.
Just like that, kaboom kachaow.
The world faded to black as Kousei internally crashes out— from both the physical pain, and the pain of never getting to read the ending of his most recent BL read.
Then he woke up. In a fancy room that looked straight out of a movie, the colors and lighting almost making it seem fake.
For a moment, Kousei thinks he’s hallucinating— there’s just no way he just got hit by a truck— when suddenly a girl bursts in his room and jumps on his bed, her movements scarily fast as she comes closer to snuggle him.
“Oh baby boo! I was so scared when you passed out! My poor petite, cutie patootie heart almost couldn’t handle that amount of stress!” The girl cries, tears running down her face as she turns to look up at Kousei’s face.
Her tears…. also don’t seem real. Are those… sparkles?? And why are her tears so dramatically large? Can tears legitimately be pouring out one’s eye—
“Sniff, my sweet chimmy boo boo, I hope thr fall didn’t hurt your amazing big brain!” She whimpers, batting her eyes as tears kept falling down her face, dripping onto Kousei’s…. bare torso? WHAT???
The girl moves to place her hand on his chest, but Kousei swiftly moves away from her, nearly jumping out of that bed just to get away.
Holy fuck, WHAT IS HAPPENING????
Genuinely baffled, Kousei tries to rack his brain for answers, wondering when in hell did he ever get a girlfriend because holy fuck this is the worst nightmare ever.
Look, he’s chill with girls but he would NEVER in his entire life date a woman. Nope, hard pass. The only thing that could make him hard—
Let’s focus. One, WHO IS SHE????? Two, WHY IS SHE HERE?? Three, she mentioned that he passed out, with a possibility that he may have hit his head… so…
“… Who? Who are you?” Kousei asks, trying to be polite but also recovering from the fact that this girl was wayyy too close for his own comfort.
The girl let out the most painful, loud screeching sound he had ever heard in his entire life.
“WHAT??????”
Fuck, he is so scared.
She cleared her throat and did a thing with her mouth that makes her look sad but in a terrifying way, like she would genuinely jump him for saying the wrong thing.
“My dearest darling smoochy babe, d-do you…. really not re-remember me?” Fuck no, Kousei would never forget someone like her, in the most negative way possible.
His lack of response only seems to spur her on.
“Seriously nooby scooby silly dunkin dude? You…. you d-don’t remember? Your one and only….. true love—“
“I’m gay.”
“…w-what?”
“I’m gay. Like as in boys, I like boys.”
She turns pale, like paper white at his response. Honestly, Kousei felt a little bit bad because she was pretty cringe but if the love of his life turned out straight, he would’ve ended it all.
Well, actually that’s not the most best comparison, but Kousei is more worried about figuring out what the fuck is happening than to debate the logistics of that sentence. It’s a pretty good topic to debate about though.
“B-but… you said-d…. you love-d me…..” The waterworks are starting again and Kousei really wants to feel bad, but he’s getting fed up with the lack of knowledge, or anything, from staying here.
Taking a better look around the room, the dark haired boy notices the comedically large closet placed right there in the middle— near what he’s assuming the restroom is.
Kousei doesn’t spare the girl a single sentence, he books it straight to the closet locks himself in there.
Wow, home sweet home, if you catch his drift.
It’s dimly lit, and he could faintly hear the girl following his path here, but he desperately needs to clothe himself or he might just jump off this balcony faster than that girl could give him another atrocious nickname.
Because what in world were those adjectives. Half of them don’t even sound real. Kind of like these clothes on this rack because majority of these fits look so complicated, it gives Kousei a headache.
The amount of tying and wearing is literally so hard, combined with the fact that it’s hard to see since there is no light? Hell, this is hell.
But, nothing ever stops Kousei, and mow and behold, Kousei manages to put on some robe cloth on his body and is now not bare chested. Bless.
Although he is a bit scared of she-who-must-not-be-named-but-like-he-doesn’t-even-know-her-name, he bravely comes out of the closet. Physically he means, since he already verbally came out.
The girl is sitting near the edge of the closet door, a bit pathetically as she— again, Kousei is assuming— is probably waiting for him. Hearing the closet door open made her turn her head so fast, he swear he heard a crack in her neck.
Her haw drops, her face almost reddening as she gazes upon him.
It’s very clear that she is interested in him, but Kousei seriously wants her to get the fuck out. Like now.
But she’s the only other person he’s seen so far, and he desperately needs to know what is happening. Is this a nightmare? A prophecy? Hell? The Underworld?
Whatever it is, he needs to get all of his facts straight before he goes exploring.
