Ma-cchan

Summary:

One thing Class A collectively agrees on is that Katsuki Bakugo is, without a doubt, the mom friend.

Or: Glances into all the ways Katsuki takes care of his classmates, like a mom. Whether he knows it or not.

And a look into how Izuku takes care of his Kacchan in return.

Some chapters will be shorter than others, but I had a lot of fun writing this and I hope you enjoy it!

Chapter 1: Ma-cchan?

Chapter Text

Even if no one else knew it, Class 1A knew one thing for sure.

Katsuki Bakugo is absolutely, 100% the Mom Friend.

It may take some time to see it past the screaming and the explosions, but when you look past the bravado and at his actions, the way he treats his friends and takes care of his classmates, it becomes abundantly clear.

It was one night at dinner that the Bakusquad was able to put words to the feeling.

It had been a long week for the class. Three tests, more battle simulations, and everyone had to run extra suicides in gym class- thank you very much, Mineta. Everyone was tired; physically, mentally, and spiritually. And tired, cranky teenagers usually mean one thing.

They are hungry.

It was a Friday night so most of the class had either gone home to see their families, or out with their respective groups of friends. For the Bakusquad, it meant a night in with videogames and annoying their favorite grump boy.  However, said grumpy buy was currently nowhere to be seen.

It didn’t take long to place him, listen a few seconds and you’ll hear all the pots and pans banging and crashing in the kitchen.

“Man, I’m hungry.” Denki whined. “I wish I was as skilled in the kitchen as Baku is. Should we just order something in?”

“I’m thinking we should. It’s getting pretty late. Just make sure there’s enough protein so I can button mash my macros.” Kirishima responded.

“Or mayyybeeee” Mina wheedled, “someone could be a kind and merciful God and feed his favorite people.”

“Shut the fuck up! I hate you all!” came the disgruntled shout from the kitchen.

“Give it up man, let’s just scroll through Demaecan and see what looks good.” Sero added in.

Moments later, heavy footsteps sounded through the common room and an irate Katsuki appeared, apron on and hands on his hips to boot.

“I swear to God if you don’t drop that phone I will break your fingers. I am cooking. You’re all going to eat something that won’t kill you in 10 years. And you’re going to like it. Do I make myself clear?”

“Yes, mom.” said Denki, who apparently had a death wish.

“What’s for dinner Bakubro?” Kirishima asked.

“Mapo Tofu. It’s healthy and delicious and you’re all going to join the clean plate club or I’m going club you to death. Got it?”

“Hoooolllllyy shit. He really is a mom. Just a very very aggressive one.” Mina whispered.

“Yeah.” Sero continued, “He’s really reminding me of my Ma right now.”

And then Denki looked entirely too excited for his own good.

“Ma-cchan!”

The resounding boom could be heard miles away.
