    Aerion looked at his cousin Valarr and found himself conflicted. He saw the dark features of lesser men stain his hair and his eyes, and felt himself repulsed. He also saw the regal way his cousin carried himself with, and felt himself beguiled.

    He had to deal with his feelings, only he didn’t know if his greatest desire was to kill Valarr with his bare hands, or to push his face into a soft pillow and hear his cousin whisper his name in a fit of passion like the kind only dragons were meant to share.
