Now, whenever night came to Winterfell and the lord of the castle went to sleep, he stubbornly kept dreaming of their meeting on the Wall, and of the quieter, less dire conversation they shared in Lord Cregan’s chamber later in the visit. The dream became a well-known companion to him.
Tonight, however, as stricken with regret as Cregan was upon learning of the prince’s death, he dreamt a special, lucid dream wherein he was free to do what he dared not to even think of when they met in the waking world – the world where they were not to meet again.

On the day before Valarr’s wedding, he finds himself feeling vastly more nervous than he expected about the prospect of laying with a woman. His whole life, only men interested him – an interest he did not share with Kiera, for she only had eyes for women. That was why they thought getting married would be a grand idea that would lead them to a life lived fully – and Valarr still thought so. He simply didn’t know if he was going to be able to perform and actually seal their marriage properly during the bedding ceremony.
Serendipitously, his handsome cousin Daeron put away his bottles and his prophetic dreams just long enough to be able to comfort the Young Prince, and provide him with images to keep in mind whilst he laid with his lady wife.

Chapter 1 Valarr/Daeron: The night before the wedding, Valarr attempts to find comfort with his tall, dreamy cousin.

Summary
Daeron was distraught to find himself having abandoned Valarr to his grief. How did he not notice that he offered Valarr no comfort, no condolences? Baelor was unfortunately slayed entire seven days prior, and for that time Daeron stayed in his rooms and taken to wine and his blighted, harrowed dreams, all the while ignoring the fact that his darling, darling cousin had no one else to comfort him at all.
Guilt-ridden and ashamed so deeply it was hard to breathe, Daeron set out to Valarr’s chambers to comfort him now. Perhaps too little, perhaps too late, but he wanted to be there for him.

When Valarr got invited into the pavilion of the Laughing Storm, he wasn’t sure what to think. Like many others, he found allure in the man’s unapologetic animal draw, and the ease with which he carried himself. Like many more others, he knew that the Baratheon was a fellow man-fancier, and thought that, perhaps, this unseemly kinship between them was the reason he got invited there, to the stag’s yellow tent.
Like fewer others, Valarr also knew Ser Lyonel was involved in a conspiracy against the royal family. Thus, it was very much possible he was only called there to be assassinated, or worse – to get dragged into the conspiracy himself. Was the risk of either of such possibilities worth sharing an evening alone with the Laughing Storm?
Valarr decided that yes, it was.

Summary
To travel all the way east to the ruins of Old Valyria, Aerion and Valarr joined mercenary groups that would carry them onwards. They sliced through rival sellswords, rioting slaves, Dothraki barbarians and various other filth, all to build their skills and be worthy of the treasures that lied inside the smoking ruins of their ancestral home.
To preserve their status as brutal warriors, they decided to refrain from being lovers whilst their sellsword career continued. Aerion did not wish for Valarr to lay with anyone else while they weren't doing so together, and for that purpose decided to procure a certain buffer who could keep Valarr satisfied enough that he wouldn't search for other lovers elsewhere. He hadn't even considered that his cousin could grow frond of someone so meek and unlike himself, Aerion. Yet, he did. Aerion had to fix it.
